Chapter 33 // Denial or Acceptance

MIDORIYA POV

I left Kaminari's hospital room filled with mixed emotions, it was probably rude how I lashed out at him after all he's been through, but I'd been holding it in for so long that I couldn't help it

I saw All Might and Mr. Aizawa talking in the corner of the hallway, they both looked pretty serious, I wonder if they've found anything out recently

I wanted to eavesdrop but decided against it, it's not like I would be any help with whatever the need

When I got to the dorms everyone was already making dinner

"Oi, Midoriya-kun! Help me cut these vegetables" I heard Sato say from the kitchen

"Be right there! Just give me a minute!" I replied while I rush to my room to change clothes real quick, hopefully making dinner with everyone will distract me

At first, everyone talked about how glad they were that Kaminari is doing well, that conversation led to them talking about the kidnapping AND THAT led to talking about the league of villains and how they've been acting weird recently lastly they talked about the hero society and how not everything is as it seems

I kept quiet the entire time, If I started talking I might have burst into tears, and it didn't help that I was cutting onions either

After dinner I changed into my gym clothes and went outside to train, my kicks have been improving but they're nowhere near the level I need them to be

I came to UA after I inherited One For ALL, I came here to train how to use this borrowed power to the best it could be, I've made progress but it's not enough! I need to do more I need to learn more! I NEED TO CATCH UP!

This power isn't even supposed to be mine, this power is supposed to be used to defeat All For One, the ultimate villain, I was the person entrusted that burden by the world's greatest hero, but there are a lot of other people that would do better then me, there's Mirio who was All Might's first and number one candidate, I think that Ojiro-san would also be a good user since he got into the top school in Japan with only just a tail that he managed to utilize to it's best, then there's Bakugo, he's always been talented, he trains and studies like crazy and is really reliable when you need him to be, he also idolized All might as much as I did, and then there's Kaminari, do I really need to explain that, I've obsessed so much over surpassing him, I'm worried I might end up like Endeavor

That's right, let's not forget that I only got lucky since All Might met me first, I got lucky since my classmates have helped me a lot too, like IIda and Uraraka, without their help I don't know what I'd be, I've got no other option than to train non-stop for them to at least see, for All Might to see, that I was worth helping
