a safety blanket
it hides you from the cold, damp world
if you feel brave, you tuck it behind your ear and look around, but confused by the environment, you untuck your hair to hide your eyes.
but I advise you to be brave.
there is no escape
you're on a one way ticket on a long roller coaster and there is no going back.
there are twists and turns; up and downs.
but when you get up to the peak and the sun shines into your eyes, you realize
that there are good times too.
so you cut your hair above your shoulder, so you can examine a world not from a sheer curtain, but from your own bright eyes.
short hair; cut right above your shoulders is the way to go on a roller coaster that only goes up, towards the sun.
look up, your chin high, and put on a smile.
