After reading my secret admirer's, my heart starts to break. I clutch the pocket of my sweater that holds the letter I was going to send. I feel my eyes start to water. I quickly wipe my eyes when I hear Jo come in."Jo," my voice quivers. I clear my throat. "May I leave early today? Um, my mom needs me."
Jo looks at me worried. I guess she can tell that I was crying a second ago. "Yes, honey. Go home."
I start to pack my bag quickly. I pull the letter out of my pocket and shove it into my bag. I was going to confess how I truly feel.
I pick up my bag and throw it over my shoulder. I calmly walk outside the store, so Jo doesn't suspect anything. Once I know I am out of Jo's sight, I run home with tears pouring down my face.
