Chapter 20

01.14.2022 Double update- sooo umm I did not, in fact, plan this. But I'm not sorry either  😜

I sighed as I saw Harry come down the stairs, "You need sleep Harry," I said startling him,

"Merlin! Percy!" he jumped, "What are you doing on the couch?" he asked and I shrugged, 

"I don't really need a room, so I sleep here," He opened his mouth but I cut him off, "You need your sleep Harry," I repeated, and he looked at me for  a moment before melting, slouching his shoulders forward, 

"I don't want to see that again," he finally admitted.

"Come here," I grunted as I got up from the couch, he approached slowly unsure, but I just grabbed him and threw him on the couch, throwing a pillow and blanket at him I sat myself down in front of the couch,

"Wha-,"

"Go to sleep Harry, I can fight off a snake, if need be," I said, completely serious. I felt Harry hover for a moment before arranging the blanket and pillow.

"Thank you," he whispered and I cracked a smile,

"Anytime Harry,"

I stayed up, fiddling with riptide, until I felt Harry start to stir, looking up at the boy as he cracked his eyes open.

"Morning," I grinned, "the others are at St. Mungo's already, but I thought you could use the rest- hurry up and go get changed," His eyes grow wider with every word, before shooting up the stairs,

"Morta-Muggle clothing," I called after him

I walked up to the counter scanning the floor guide,

"First floor it is," I said leading Harry in and down the hallway, peeking in a few windows before calling Harry over,

"Over here, Harry!" I called but he hesitated, I looked up before gently nudging him forward,

"It wasn't you Harry, you didn't do any of it, so get in there and talk to the man that you were so worried about, it'll put your mind at ease that he's okay," I said and he gulped nodding stepping forward and pushing into the room."

"You know, Dumbledore seems almost to have been waiting for Harry to see something like this...," Molly said just as Harry pushed open the doors,

"Yeah, well Dumbledore's an ass," I said, shutting up the few members who were discussing Order matters, "Goes around like he's got it all figured out, but refusing to tell anyone anything of real value, you know the usual,"

"Harry!" Molly said, bustling towards him, and drawing him closer to the bed, ignoring what I had said. I rolled my eyes and sat down in the chair beside Arthur, slipping into a light sleep.

Christmas break went smoothly, Harry found himself on the couch with me perched on guard almost every single night, but I always greeted Harry with a smile and listened to Harry whenever he started to overthink, but I made sure not to let Harry spiral. Sirus was ecstatic to have the company and even Hermione joined the party. Christmas was the first day that Harry woke up without me smiling at him, I was staring at a wall, and too distracted to hear him start to stir.

"Percy?" Harry asked, causing me to look up at Harry startled,

"Oh! Harry your up! Merry Christmas!" I said as chipper as I could. I missed mom. I missed Paul.

"Is everything alright?" Harry asked obviously concerned but I just shook my head,

"Everything's alright, why don't you go upstairs and get changed?" I asked looking towards the door as someone knocked on it, I stood to get it, but Molly beat me to it,

"Hello?" she asked, blocking my sight, that's weird most people who know of this place Molly knows, why woul-

"Is Percy Jackson there?" the voice on the said and my eyes widened, no. It couldn't be, could it?
