The journey usually only required five minutes of walking but Lisa took ten minutes instead. Since she was so feeble, the new clothes that she had changed into were now thoroughly soaked with her sweat.

Nonetheless, she had no time to deal with trivial matters. She was certain that Jungkook furiously went to visit his grandmother because of what happened and the results from the prison today.

Since his grandmother had single-handedly raised him, she viewed him as her reason for living. In her heart, Lisa could blame or hate her but Jungkook could not.

Even if Lisa could not bear the torture that was inflicted upon her, she could forgo her morals and allow a grandson to fight with his own grandmother...

Warm orange-colored light illuminated the side hall of Upper Mansion. The two pomegranate trees by the doorway that were boring juicy and ripe fruits were personally planted by Old Master while he was still alive.

Lisa leaned against one of the tree trunks and panted for a while.

It was still slightly cold in late autumn. The door to the side hall was unlocked, Old Mistress' sobs intermittently drifted out from there.

Lisa was shocked and she hurriedly walked forward.

She heard Old Mistress resentfully cursing as she cried, "It looks like you've been bewitched by that foxy woman because you actually turned around and bit the hand that fed you by doubting your own grandmother!"

Lisa paused in her footsteps. She was pretty sure that the foxy woman that Yuan Xuan's grandmother was referring to.

She felt embarrassed for a few seconds. Standing on the same spot, Lisa heard Jungkook's grandmother continue saying, "That Lalisa is just too much. She had been infatuated with you ever since she was slightly over ten years old. If it wasn't for her, eunha would have married into the Jeon Family..."

"She committed those crimes and got herself imprisoned so it's normal for her to get beaten up. Who wouldn't be irritated just by looking at that foxy face?"

Lisa was scolded to the point where her heart became empty for awhile.

She halted her footsteps because she was unsure whether to advance or retreat.

"Grandmother, my relationship with Eunha was unlike the rumors spreading outside!"

Jungkook's voice was deep and unhurried. Lisa was stunned because it was rare for her to hear Jungkook clarifying his relationship with Eunha.

It was unlike the rumors outside? Then what was it actually like?

She recalled how Jungkook had previously told her that he owed Eunha an infinite number of favors that could never be fully returned...

Lisa blankly stared while Jungkook's deep and faraway voice echoed from the inside.

Since his grandmother was upset, Jungkook spoke in a comforting tone and said, "Don't be angry, grandmother. Little Jeon have no other intentions."

"When I received the news today, I didn't fully believe that Grandmother had planned this. I'll get Eunwoo to continue his investigation in this matter."

When Old Mistress heard that Jungkook still wanted to pursue this, a furious look appeared on her face.

She reprimanded him saying, "If you continue to pursue this matter, I think that you should just listen to that foxy woman regarding matters that concern the Jeon Family in the future. You don't have to care at all about your grandmother over here anymore!"

"I raised you ever since you were little and I'd never disappointed your parents even after they died. I've wasted my love on you all these years!"

When Jungkook saw that his grandmother was truly upset, it was enough to stress out a person like himself who was exceptionally intelligent.

When he returned in the afternoon and saw Lisa's weary appearance, he lost all reason and anxiously rushed to Upper Mansion to confront his grandmother.

He had never expected that Old Mistress would insist that she had not planned that. This made Jungkook passive instead.

When he encountered matters regarding Lisa, his actions would apparently be thrown into disorder.

"Of course I know that my grandmother loves me!"

Jungkook's voice was magnificent and elegant. Moreover, it was already naturally soothing. He held his grandmother's hands before he continued to speak.

"However, Lisa has suffered numerous grievances in the last two years. No matter what you say, her family is currently ruined and that was caused by the Jeon Family. After all, since the Mu Family and the Jeon Family previously had friendly relations, bringing down their entire household would definitely be a horrible thing to do!"

Jungkook's tone was as gentle as a stream of flowing water between the hills. But when Lisa heard him mentioning the destruction of her family, a bone-chilling feeling swept over her and her fingertips faintly trembled.

Was the destruction of her household caused by the Jeon Family?

She had nearly forgotten about this matter!
