The school's bell rang, indicating that the next period is about to begin in five minutes. Suyeong sighed, feeling extremely tired when she put her math books and notes inside her bag before pulling out multiple English books

She looked around the class and ran her hand through her black hair. The male students was messing with each other and some were being lovey-dovey with their partner. While the female students was busy with fixing their hair, makeup and uniform, she formed a small smile

She shake her head, pulling out a lip tint and started to spread the dark pink liquid on her lips. She fixed her hair for a while and started to write some notes that she figured was important for her upcoming tests and quizzes

As she was highlighting the important parts, a small white box with red ribbon wrapped on it was presented to her by someone

She frowned and slowly looked up to see who it is

"Minhyuk"

She called out, giving him a confused expression as he awkwardly scratched his neck. His cheeks started to get redder as each second passed by

"What is this?"

"It's just... I bought some candies and figured that you might like it"

She nodded, forming a small smile

"Thanks. I'll enjoy this"

He nodded, walking away with hesitant as he came back to her desk, making Suyeong looked up at him again

"What is it?"

"Do you perhaps, have a boyfriend?"

Suyeong was stunned by the question. Minhyuk chuckled while looking down, feeling extremely shy as he had gathered all the courage that he have to ask that question. Suyeong let out a small laugh, shaking her head

"No"

She doesn't like where this is going

"Do you want to go to a café with me, then? After school ended?"

Suyeong thought for a while with a conflicted expression. She hated it when boys asked her out, knowing well that she only see them as her friends, and not with romance

"I'm sorry. I can't. I need to study for the upcoming tests"

He nodded, feeling awkward again after getting rejected. Suyeong felt guilty but she can't give him false hope

"Is that so? Okay, then. Goodluck on your studies"

He said with a small smile

"Thanks. You too"

He nodded, walking away as he went out of the classroom. She sighed, looking around as she realized that not many students was inside the classroom seeing as the second period just started. She hurriedly collected her books and stood up. She hated English classes because they need to go down to the library every time

She hated the stairs so much. They're her sworn enemies

She doesn't have much friends, considering how introverted she could be sometimes but all her classmates treated her good. She was one of the top students in the school, therefore she was separated with Jugyeong who went to the lower class
