Suyeong opened the gate to her house, frowning when she saw two pair of shoes that was unfamiliar to her. She just got back from buying some books regarding her future career that Mr. Han had recommended her to

She shrugged her shoulders, thinking that it might be Juyeong's new bought shoes. Entering the house, she directly headed to her room but as she was stepping on the stairs, Mrs. Hong called her name out

"Suyeong! Come here and help us make dumplings"

She said excitedly as Suyeong turned her gaze to the living room that made her eyes widened. Her family except Heekyung, Suho and Seo-jun were sitting on the floor while kneading some dough for dumplings

They all were looking at her while Jugyeong sent her a 'help me' expression. She cleared her throat and looked at her mom, ignoring Seo-jun and Suho's gaze at her

"Mom. Later, I need to organize my books first"

"Books? What books?"

Mrs. Hong asked as she showed her the plastic bags that contained the books

"Mr. Han told me to buy them for an upcoming event. Let me go and put these away first and then, I'll help you guys. Bye"

She said hurriedly, dashing off to her room, leaving the family dumbfounded. She immediately closed the door, sighing

She was planning to tell her family about the scholarship tonight but it seems like it'll not happen soon. Seeing that both boys are in their house right now, she wanted to keep it a secret from her classmates

"This is driving me crazy. I don't care about Suho but why him? Mom, why are you doing this to me?"

She whined, slumping on the bed as she closed her eyes for a moment. She eventually got up, changing her clothes to a long sleeve black shirt and a black palazzo pants. She tied her hair into a ponytail and walked out of her room

She wasn't having any intention to meet Seo-jun for the past week but now her mom is making it harder for her to avoid him. She cursed under her breath when she reached downstairs where Seo-jun and Suho could be seen kneading the dough together with her family. She frowned when she caught Juyeong glaring at Seo-jun on every second

"Suyeong. Come here and sit beside Seo-jun"

Mrs. Hong said, earning their attention as the girl cleared her throat, quickly seating herself beside the said boy. Her father handed her a bowl of dough, getting to work almost immediately. She didn't voice out any complaints as she wanted it to be done quickly

"You just need to knead it a bit more and then I'll check whether it's ready or not"

"Okay, dad"

Seo-jun looked at her for a moment before Mrs. Hong spoke

"Goodness. Seo-jun, your dumplings are so pretty"

Seo-jun smiled at the compliment proudly

"I've made them before at home. My mom said, if I make pretty dumplings, I'll end up with a pretty daughter. That's why I let her teach me"
