Little 5 year old Vela laid under the sheets while covering her ears because of the loud thunder.

Her twin brother, Draco wasn't at home right now since he was currently sleeping at the Nott Manor with his best friend's Theo and Blaise.

Her parents are in the main hall room having a meeting with people wearing all black so they couldn't stay with Vela right now.

'boom'

Little Vela whimpered in fear since she has a fear of loud sounds, especially lightning and thunder.

She was tightly hugging her teddy bear given to her parents while covering her ears even more.

Severus Snape's POV

I was walking down in the hallway trying to clear my mind when I suddenly stopped when I heard a small cry.

I looked to my left and saw a huge wooden door with white flowers painted on the sides.

'this must be Vela's room?' I mentally said

I knocked on the door when I heard a small cry again

Little Vela's POV

'knock'

I slowly lifted my blankie and looked at my big brown door

'knock' 'knock'

I wiped my teary eyes and carefully went out of the bed while hugging Mr.Brown tightly against my chest

I waddled towards the door while quietly sniffling

"W-who's there?" I asked remembering my mommy's words

'Do not open the door if you don't know who's outside, okay darling?" mommy said

"It's me child, Severus Snape" someone said outside my door

"Uncle Sevy?" I opened my door and peeked outside

I saw my Uncle Sevy standing while looking down at me. I waved my hand to him and sniffled. He smiled warmly at me.

"Why are you crying, child? Are you alright?" He gently whispered

"I'm scared Uncle Sevy. The rain and thunder is so loud!" I replied while looking down and hugging Mr. Brown tightly

Uncle Sevy kneeled down and carefully picked me up. He brought me to my bed and gently placed me down

"Come on, lay down—it's alright I'm here" Uncle Sevy said to me

I laid down like what he said and Uncle Sevy carefully placed my blankie on me while patting my head. I giggled and he smiled at that.

"Don't worry, child." Uncle Sevy whispered

"nothing and no one is going to hurt you as long as I'm here" he gently whispered to me

"Promise Uncle Sevy?" I lifted my pinky towards him

"What are you doing?" He whispered with a smile

"It's called a pinky promise! When we link our pinky together while saying a promise, we should never break it!" I told Uncle Sevy

He chuckled and brought his fingers and linked it with mine

"Then I promise to always protect you"
