         Two weeks later, Pierre and Melena walked hand in hand through Paris. Their reunion had only sparked their love to be stronger, to grow even deeper and beyond their imagination. For them, it felt like this was going to last for much longer than this, until forever.

Pierre lovingly held onto her hand, fingers tightly intertwined with hers. He secretly struggled, having to look away from her to cross the road safely, but he only had eyes for her. Biting down on the inside the inside of his cheek, he could barely believe how he'd gotten so lucky— to be with the girl of his dreams, to have been given a second chance, to spend most of his time with her.

'Missed me much, then?' He asked her, a stupid smile playing on his lips while he watched her enjoy her ice cream.

Her brows furrowed with fake confusion, upper lip covered in strawberry-flavoured ice cream, looking at her boyfriend with mischievous eyes. 'No, why would I miss you?'

Pierre scoffed, shaking his head. 'I could've sworn that you sent me a bunch of texts last week, saying that, well, you missed me beyond words. Stuff like that, you know.'

Mel bumped her shoulder into his, unable to keep herself from squinting her eyes at him, curiosity carrying the brown in them. 'You just wanna hear me say it again, don't you?'

His cheeks flushed a little. 'Maybe.'

Holding onto the ice cream cone, the brunette didn't seem to be paying much attention to it anymore, if it all. 'I'd say definitely.' She argued with a smile, squeezing his hand.

Pierre inhaled sharply, slowing down his steps. 'Say it then.' He dared her.

They stopped in their tracks, sharing a certain look that only two people in love would share. Watching her with sea-blue eyes, the driver only recognised the smile on her face all too well.

'Say what?' She smirked.

He let go of her hand, sneaked it around her waist and pulled her close. 'That you missed me, mon amour.'

'Maybe I didn't miss you.' Mel continued to tease him with a shrug.

Her lips returned towards her ice cream, looking rather innocently at him with a frown on her face, just to show him that she could easily have the upper hand, even now. Pierre, however, could only lock his eyes on her lips, gazing at them longingly and affectionately.

He smirked down at her lips, then focused his gaze back on her lovely eyes. 'You don't happen to be lying to me right now, hm?'

'What if I am?' She teased him.

Pierre accepted her challenging eyes, lightly pressuring her up against his chest. 'I'd have to get the truth out of you... somehow.' He trailed off, leaning forward, catching her sweetened breath with his own.

She smiled, placing her hand on the scruffy side of his jaw, hee fingertips exploring. 'Sounds fun, doesn't it?'

Pierre raised a brow, pretending to think. 'For me, yes. For you... I'm not so sure.' He said, digging his touch into the small of her back. 'We'd have to find out.'

Melena couldn't stop smiling. She wondered how he could bring her such happiness, which now promised to be become only more and more intense as time went on, and compared to last year, it'd become better.
