Chapter-8

Jungkook's POV-

It's been two days  since I have seen him after that and I felt Kinda...disappointed? I sighed ruffling my hair before wearing the gloves to take out the new tray of freshly baked orange muffins- huh it's mouth watering, the flavor is just so sweet 

I put them in the display as I went to the counter to take the orders, it's already 8 in the night, I just can't wait to wrap this up and snuggle in my bed with my fluffy blanket over me, it's been 2 days since I had a proper nice sleep and my head starts hurting due to lack of sleep, 

But my heart runs wildly with pain and hope as Soobin's words rewind in my mind again-

"Hmmm your cakes are the best" Jungkook smiled watching Soobin stuffing the chocolate cake making his cheeks puff looking like a chipmunk, "you know appa my new Ssaem is acting really weird and too energetic" he raised his eyebrows hearing Soobin--weird ? "What?" Jungkook asked confusingly, "today he ran out of the class suddenly after warning and then Jay said that he heard the teachers talking gossiping in the hall way while on his way back to-- "slow down baby" Jungkook sighed at his son who was rapping non stop

Soobin gave a sheepish smile before starting "where am I ?" Soobin asked creasing his eyebrows together, he forgot suddenly by his father so he glared at the man in front of him "while Jay coming back from the, hearing gossip- ring any bell son" Jungkook replied shaking his head

"Oh yeah-- so heard that Mr. Kim must be getting married" Jungkook was sure taken aback, isn't he married already ? "Isn't he married already?" Consciously or subconsciously he voiced out his inner thoughts, Soobin momentarily looked up chewing the cake "no--- Jay said he heard from teachers"

Third person POV-

Jungkook sighed rubbing his eyes tiredly, his brain is messing him in all angles since Taehyung showed up out of nowhere, entering in his life again, honestly Jungkook doesn't know what to do anymore, he is really close to forget or atleast trying but now everything is back to zero, He cried in front of Jimin one night when the elder confronted about his horrible state, Jimin

Taehyung isn't married, not to mention he is back in Jungkook's life messing it wildly, he won't lie but he saw the tears in Taehyung's eyes that night which he blinked away, it's really hard for Jungkook to read the emotions that swirled in the Almond eyes of the older who looked shocked yet happy.. or is he hallucinating

"Dada what's this ?" Little Soobin shouted from the stairs coming down with something in his hands, he is a little boy and he never cared about surroundings, that's how kids are pure and raw, never hide anything and that's how Soobin is too

The customers too never cared, because most of them are from this village while only few are from outside the village and they know Jungkook since he is little boy and same goes with Soobin as he got raised here

"What is it Binnie?" Jungkook asked tiredly with a sigh seeing his son coming down with something in his hand, "this this this" Soobin jumped in his place holding his hand high with big smile on his face, and it didn't take a second for Jungkook to identify what is was.... it's kaleidoscope

Jungkook picked his son as his eyes prickled with tears and went towards one of the empty table to sit, "this is kaleidoscope" Jungkook says as he takes it from Soobin's hand who sees it with eyes full of excitement and awe, he checks it before he guided Soobin

"Grab it both of your hands, your one hand on the body and the other on the base on the eye side" Jungkook guides as he instructs Soobin who patiently do's as his father says, "Now put it near your eye and look through that gap" Jungkook brings one side to the eye, Soobin hung his mouth agape as his doe eyes gets bigger "woahhh"

"Wahhhh Tae" 16 year old Jungkook gasps as he sees through kaleidoscope

They both are currently in Jungkook's room on Jungkook's bed which was beside the window and a desk by its side with a small study lamp, pen holder and books on it-- it was cozy and their hearts too..... warm, Taehyung was laying closing his eyes with a smile, while Jungkook sat there with kaleidoscope

The light was entering the room through the window curtains, it was afternoon on a mid summer day, this was something explained in their textbook back when their school was open as an example in the chapter belonging to light

At that time Jungkook casually asked that he wanted it and Taehyung really brought it, oblivious to Taehyung the emotions in Jungkook are swirling into something more than friendship, Jungkook felt his heart thud against his chest knowing that Taehyung remembered

"Where did you got it Tae?" Jungkook asked with big doe eyes as he fell on the bed beside Taehyung with kaleidoscope in his hands, "I made it" Taehyung replied opening his eyes, both are oblivious to what the other feeling towards them

"It's amazing"

Now Jungkook remembered that he threw this on their attic because whenever he see this, it reminds him of Taehyung so he threw it in the box and kept it somewhere in the alter,

Back then he was so deep in love with Taehyung, he was so afraid to confess his feelings, what if Taehyung doesn't accept him? And not only that their friendship will also get ruined, so he didn't dared to confess

He always find time to spend with Taehyung and not to say the night he deliberately dragged Taehyung along with him for star gazing and how he finds the opportunities just to cuddle with Taehyung, It was amazing, those five years are just beautiful

"Did you went to the attic Soobin?" Jungkook asked his son when he realised when Soobin got it into his hands, the boy gave a sheepish smile batting his eyelashes "I went to find my albums but dada can I take this to show Yeonjun and Jay tonight" "fine, you can take, but no muffins for this week as you climbed attic despite my warnings" Jungkook huffed ruffling Soobin's hair who gave him infamous puppy eyes, but Jungkook is not going to fell for it
