Chapter 4

Meredith POV:
Okay so me and Luke had this huge argument last night. I was really pissed at Beth for trying to steal my boyfriend. Like can't she go find on herself? I walked downstairs and saw Luke and Calum talking. Luke knew I was there but didn't even look at me a bit! Beth walked down and passed me. I have her a glare and mouthed "stay away from Luke." She just looked confused and sat next to Calum. I sat next to Luke but he got up right after and sat next to Beth. I got up and sat next to him again but then he got up and sat next to Calum. Beth and Calum looked puzzled. "Okay what's going on?! Why are you guys acting like this?" "Nothing." "It's not nothing I know it." "Calum mind your own business." "Yea Bethany I need to talk to you." Beth nodded and we went outside. "Look bitch stay away from Luke okay? He's my boyfriend!" "You think I'm trying to steal him?!" "You are!" "No I'm not! He doesn't even like me and I don't like him! And also your the one who said to act nice around him so that's what I'm fucking doing! Don't you go and tell me that I'm doing something wrong when it's your fault in the first place!" "My fault?!" "Yes! If you haven't convinced mom to let them stay here than this would never have happened! Can't you just take a break from using your damn popularity against people?!" She looked really pissed and walked off. I honestly never seen her like this.

Beth POV:
I got really pissed with Mere so I walked off. I slammed the door shut and sat on the couch. "What happened?" "Nothing." "We heard yelling." "Why don't you go ask your princess." I said harshly and got up and walked to my room. I could hear mom shout "BETHANY NOEL MOTA USE YOUR MANNERS!" I didn't mean for that to come out that harshly but I guess it just did. I got a text from Mandy who I meet a few days ago.

Mandy💁🏼: hey wanna hang out?
Beth✨: sure where?
Mandy💁🏼: how about Starbucks like in ten minutes?
Beth✨: sure

I quickly got ready and put on a simple outfit.(above is Beth's outfit.) I grabbed everything I need and walked downstairs. I went to mom and asked her if I could hang out with Mandy. "Sure just be sure to get back at 5." "Okay thanks love ya." I shut the front door and walked outside. I walked to Starbucks and ordered my drink and waited for Mandy to come. When she came we talked about our lives and how things are going. "Are you okay you seem pissed." "Yea I'm fine I just got into a fight with my sister." "Oh that stinks." "Yea." We decided to go to Santa Monica Pier. It was almost 5 so I had to leave. "Mandy I have to go now my mom said I had to be home at 5." "Okay I'll drive you." "Okay."

Skip car ride

"Thanks I'll see you tomorrow." "Welcome bye." "Bye." I walked inside and my mom was already making dinner. "Oh Bethany the rest went to go ice skating but they should be back soon." "Okay." I sat on the couch and watched Pretty Little Liars. The doorbell rang and I got up and opened it. I saw Meredith and the others outside. Once i opened it I immediately went back to the couch. "Rude much." Meredith said. "Who are you taking about me? Cause I thought you were talking about yourself." They just looked at us confused. "Are you guys okay?" Neither of us answered. "Dinners ready!" I got up walked to the table and sat down on the chair. Luke sat down next to me and I got up and sat down next to Michael. He looked confused well both of them. Meredith told me to stay away from Luke so I'm just following her orders. After we finished dinner we decided to watch a movie. The only seat open was next to Luke. I started to panic because I can't sit next to him. "Michael can we switch seats?" I asked. "Uh sure." "Thanks." I sat in between Calum and Ashton and Michael sat next to Luke. Luke got up and walked towards me and pulled me up and took me outside. "Luke what are you doing?" "Why are you avoiding me?" "I'm not." "Yes you are now why?" I couldn't tell him that Meredith told me to it would ruin their relationship. "Is it because of Meredith?" "No!" I might have answered it to quickly. "It is I could tell that your lying." "Please don't blame it on her it was all my fault." "How?" "Because I choose to stay away from you I didn't have to listen to Meredith." "But still is she really jealous of you?" "You were hanging out with me a lot. I would be jealous if I was her." "Yea cause you were her sister. I thought I was suppose to hang out with you." That kinda hurt inside. He really didn't like me. "Well you should tell her that. I really don't want to be in the middle of this and the cause of this." "I don't know." "If you don't then it would ruin your whole relationship with her. Don't you love her?" "Yea only her." "Tell her that." I said then left. I didn't bother to finished the the movie with them. I just went up to my room and cried into my pillow. Why did they have to come?! Why did I have to start liking him?! All those questions were spinning in my mind. The door knob turned and I think Calum walked in. "Are you okay?" "Yea I'm just tried." "You sleep like that?" "Yea sometimes." "Beth stop lying I know it's because of Luke." "It's not." "Your the worst liar ever." I sat up and rubbed my eyes. "I know you like him." "Do don't." "Do so I saw how you were looking at him and you would only avoid him not because of your sister told you so because you don't want to fall in love with him." "How do you know Mere told me to stay away from him?" "Over heard you guys you know you guys should really speak quieter." "Shut up Calum." I joked. "We're going to go for a walk wanna come?" "Sure." We both walked out and we saw Luke and Mere kissing in the kitchen. It felt like my heart is hurting to breaking. Bethany he's not yours! He's Meredith's! Calum coughed and Luke immediately pulled away and looked at me. I gave him a small smile and walked away. Calum put one arm around my shoulder. "What are you doing?" "What friends can't do that? Plus I'm testing him to see if he would get jealous." "He wouldn't and so what if he gets jealous?" "Then that means he might like you." "Or he might like you. There are lots of cake shippers out there." "Shut up." Ashton and Michael saw us and awwed us. "Are you guys dating?" "No!" We both said. No offense but i couldn't picture myself with Calum. He's more like a brother to me. When we got to the park we decided to play soccer. I stink at soccer. "Okay me and Luke team captain." Calum said. Calum picked Mere first which earned a glare from Luke. I mouth "what are you doing?" And he mouth back "just go along with it you'll see." Luke picked me first which kinda surprised me. I mean first of all why did he pick me over his band mates and second of all doesn't he know I stink at soccer? The teams were Calum, Mere, and Ashton and Luke, me and Michael. In the middle of the game I tripped over Mere's feet and she just smiled and continued on. What's her deal? She already got Luke back why is she acting like this? "You okay?" "Yea I'm fine." Luke helped me up. "Thanks." "Welcome." We ended up losing because of me duh and went back home. My leg were really starting to hurt. "Are you okay?" "Yea." "What's wrong with your leg?" "I just tripped over Mere's feet no biggy." "Yea well you could barley walk." "Luke I'm fine trust me." He shook his head and threw me over his shoulders. "Luke wtf are you doing?!" "Well you couldn't walk so yea." "Put me down!!" "Sure when we get back." "Luke!!!" We finally got back and he put me down. Mere glared at me and Calum gave me a thumbs up. When we were about to go our own separate ways Calum shouted out. "Hey Guys! Watch some movies!" "Calum it's to late cmon Luke." "No Luke chooses if he want to Mere." "Sure I'll watch some movie." "Okay Beth?" "Sure." "Okay bye Mere if you don't want to watch movies." "No I'll stay!" "Okay but here's the twist! You have to sit next to the person who you get picked with." "What why?!" "Mere just stick with it okay?" "Ugh!" Calum wrote our names and put them in a bowl. "Okay first... Luke and Beth." "No! I want to sit next to him!" "Too bad!" Michael said. Luke smiled and sat on the floor and told me to sit next to him. So Calum ended up sitting next to Michael and poor Ashton have to sit next to Meredith. All she does is gamble about how this is unfair whatsoever. During the middle of the movie I feel my eyes falling. "You sleepy?" Luke asked. "Yea a little bit." "Okay you should get some sleep." "Yah." I was about to get up but Calum said "nope sleep here that's part of the twist." "Could have said that earlier." I said glaring at him. It was kinda uncomfortable sleeping on the floor. "Here you can lay on my shoulder." "It's fine." "Don't worry about it." "I'm." I looked at Mere and she looked really angry. "I'm fine." "Are you sure?" "Yeah." I drifted off to sleep.

Next day.....
I woke up with the sun blaring in my eyes. I looked around and found myself on Luke's chest. I quickly got up and rubbed my eyes. My alarm went off and I guess it was pretty loud. Everyone groaned and woke up. "I'm sorry I forgot to turn it off last night." "Great excuse." "Mere what is your fucking problem?! You were never like this before! You already got your boyfriend back so why in the world are you acting like you hate me or something?" "Cause I do hate you. Hated you from the day you were born." "Mere! Wtf?" Luke shouted. "You can't say that to your own sister!" Calum added. "She's not my sister! She's adopted!" My eyes widened. What did she mean? She looked like she regretted saying that. "W what do you mean?" "You were adopted. Mom and dad never told you because they didn't want you to think that you dong belong in the family." "How come I don't remember this?" "You were a baby of course you don't remember this." "They've been hiding it for 17 years now?!" "Pretty much." "When were they going to tell me?!" "When they die they put it in their will." "And you didn't tell me?" "They told me not to tell you even though I wanted to for the longest time." "Where are they?" "In their room how dumb could you be?!" "Meredith! Shut up it's not the time for you to speak." "Luke who's side are you on?!" "Right now Beth's your just being a selfish bitch right now." I quickly got up and walked upstairs. I burst their door open. "Bethany what are you doing?!" "When we're you doing to tell me?!" They looked at each other for a second. "tell you what?" "That I was fucking adopted!" "How did you know?" "That doesn't matter! Why didn't you tell me?! You were hiding it for 17 years now!" "We didn't want you to feel like you didn't belong!" "So just hiding it makes me feel better?! You know what never mind this!" I ran out and to the front door. I ran outside and then suddenly everything went black....
