i grumbled to myself as i stared up at the ceiling of my room.

ghost was on a three month tour.

a three month tour that didn't allow any breaks for the ghouls. they couldn't come home. i couldn't see rain.

of course there was always face time and texting, but he was always tired from the shows and traveling.

knock knock knock

"y/n you can't hole up in your room for the last two weeks of their tour. you've been doing so well." ifrit's voice called.

"i can and i am." i stated, feeling shallow.

this had never happened before and ghost had been on much longer tours than three months with the same acceptions.

"y/n.. come on.. let me take you out to the town, you haven't been outside in a week." ifrit tried to persuade me. "no." i stated bluntly.

something about this tour just really ripped my heart from my chest and i couldn't figure out what it was.

"y/n if you don't come out i'm coming in." ifrit told me, determination clear in his tone.

i groaned, rolling onto my side and facing the wall.

i heard a defeated sigh come from behind the door and ifrit's footsteps faded away.

i sadly picked up my phone, going to tiktok and scrolling through my for you page. most of the videos were edits of the ghouls, but rain plagued all the videos in some way.

"swept away i'm stolen..." the edit audio played, the screen fading to show rain looking down at the camera. the video slowed when rain held up his hand, signing 'i love you,' his pinky, index and thumb extended as he tilted his head and waved his hand back and fourth slightly.

it was our little motion we did from across the room whenever we were hanging out with everyone.

i sniffled, tears welling in my eyes as i watched the edit over and over. i looked down to the caption,

'i wonder who he's saying i love you to'

i quickly saved the video, scrolling and hoping the next one would be happier.

'don't want to leave you anymore..." the audio played as a clip of rain and i reuniting from the last super long tour faded in.

i was waiting at the airport next to ifrit, strangers giving us looks due to ifrit's silver mask.

omega was recording me standing on my toes trying to find rain in the flood of people coming from the gate.

after a second or two, ifrit pointed and i began running, both the previous generation's ghouls running after me.

rain came into view, dropping all of his stuff with the rest of ghost and running at me as well.

'oh darling all of the city lights...' the video turned to color as rain and i collided in a bone crushing hug.

'never shine as bright as your eyes..' the video transitioned slightly to show rain gently pushing my hair out of my eyes and kissing me.

suddenly, my phone was taken from my hand and turned off. i looked over my shoulder, seeing ifrit staring down at me with a sad look in his eye.
