"c'mon, love, it couldn't have been that bad." mountain said softly, trying to lure you out from under your comforter.

"it was!! it was awful. satan, mountain, you should've seen how grossed out he looked." you groaned, pressing your face into the pillow.

mountain frowned, looking over his shoulder at aether, the ghoul you both were talking about.

you and mountain had both grown fond of the quintessence ghoul. so fond, in fact, you both wanted to add him into your relationship.

you and mountain had originally started the conversation with aether together, but the earth ghoul had been summoned by copia, leaving you to continue the discussion.

apparently, in your point of view, it hadn't gone well at all.

"i swear, he looked at me like i worshiped god. he looked at me like i was asking him to kill me!" you continued, tears in your eyes.

aether quickly shook his head as he saw mountain's gaze darken, sending mountain a mental message about how he was just shocked.

"love, he didn't think that." mountain soothed, putting his hand on your shoulder. "how do you know?" you asked. "because i told him." aether cut in.

you quickly shoved the covers off of your face, sitting up and staring at the quintessence ghoul in shock.

then, your lip quivered and you brought the covers back over your face, laying down again.

mountain sighed, climbing into bed and under the covers with you, his tail motioning aether to join.

"what if i told you aether was okay with being together with us.." mountain whispered, brushing your hair out of your face. you sniffled, staring at mountain.

"it's true," aether commented as he climbed into bed, draping his arm over your waist as he buried his nose into your hair. you froze for a moment before relaxing, looking at mountain with happy eyes.

mountain chuckled softly, scooting closer and wrapping his arm around you and aether, pressing a kiss to your head.
