"this is so bad! she thinks i hate her! but i don't hate her! i hate her friend!" soul exclaimed as he walked with maka down the halls.

"apologize to her and then maybe she'll be your friend." maka says shrugging and reading a book.

"apologize is so traumatizing now, what if i do something dumb again." he complained.

"2nd times a charm?" maka looked up with an unsure face, and soul just let out a sigh as they walked out of school.

suddenly maka got an idea, she hurriedly but her book away and looked at soul.

"soul go on head to the cafe! i'll be there in 20 minutes i gotta go home and get something that i.. forgot? yeah! bye." maka said as she ran off.

"whatever weirdo." soul said making his way to the cafe where they were supposed be studying at.

he made it to the cafe and sat down, after 20
minutes he realized that maka has ditched him and began to head out and as he opened the door someone else was on the other side.

"shit, please don't hurt me." the person joked, making soul physically flinch.

"haha! just kidding... but seriously don't." they whispered the last part. it was y/n.

at this point soul stopped working, but came back to his senses once y/n moved him out of the way so other people can go inside to the cafe.

"uh..." he said having no idea what to even say.

"listen, i'm really sorry about today.. i didn't mean to hit you or spill your drink." he apologize, which hurt his ego but it was worth it. this was his crush after all.

"and sorry about the other day, i was just in a sour mood and didn't realize it was you." he was looking at her, but once he did, he saw the shock look on her face.

"soooo, you don't hate me??" was the first thing she asked.

"what? no?.." he said confused, she laughed in relief.

"ohh okay, i was starting to think you did." she chuckled, as soul just stood there not knowing what else to say. "i'll accept you apology, only if you buy me a drink." she added, as she walked inside the build.

what the fuck is happening. is a question that filled souls mind.

soul went in after her, he stood somewhat next to her not saying a word.

"uh, so what did you want to get?" soul asked trying to start a conversation.

"( drink name )" she replied happily, and when it was their turn soul order her drink and one for himself.

soul paid of course, and once they got their drinks, y/n thanked him.

"don't thank me, it's your apology gift? i guess." he said sipping his drink.

"okay but.. thanks anyways" soul sighed.

"hey soul? i think we started off the wrong foot.. let's be friends." she said, hoping he'd accept.

he was stunned for a second but then answered.

"that'd be nice."

soul doesn't know what came over him, but after another conversation about whatever it was, he actually offered to walk her home and then he went home with a grin on his face.

oh boy, he was in love and things look like they were getting better.
