Chapter 26 | does it matter?

Scarlett pov

I was just in my living room laying on the couch staring at the ceiling..the kids are out and it's raining so heavy outside with thunderstorms.

"What have i done?" I mumbled to myself can't get y/n off my mind

My intentions were pure.... to be her friend at least..but when my manager says my career was doing really great and it would be a great opportunity...i was blinded by it that i played and broke this amazing kind soul.

I shaked off ny thoughts with a sigh ànd just went to the kitchen making myself coffee.. it's already late at night but i just need some time to think how to fix what my actions did.

The doorbell suddenly rang making me confused more than ever.. i justs grabbed an umbrella and went outside..colin was just standing in front getting really soaked by the rain

"What are you doing???!" I asked shading him under my umbrella

"I forgot cosmo's teddy bear.. he can't sleep without it.." he sighs as we both get inside

I quickly fetch him a towel before running upstairs getting cosmo's bear. As i looked back colin was at the door looking Around the room

"Wow.. you changed the interiors?" He a asks going on spme stuffs while I'm looking for the toy

"Hermes pillows and blankets?? When did you bought expensive stuffs like these? Fancy tho" he shrugged

"I didn't.." i huffed looking at the drawers

"What? Designer things just randomly pops now?" He chuckled

"Y/n did.. Cosmo's crib was too small for him and she bought all these stuffs.. helped me renovate so your child's room would be comfortable for him" i faced him seriously.

My social battery is just so drained and honestly this is not helping. "It's not here, I'll go check on rose's room" i added leaving but he still follows me

"Rose has the big girl bed now too? Y/n?" He asks and i just hummed

I finally found bear but as soon as i passed it to him our eyes locked feeling him goes closer flashing her looks on my lips..

" I-uhm...you need to go now.. cosmo is waiting" i took a deeoo breath also earning his nod agreeing

We both walked down stairs in a very awkward silence.. when the doorbell rang again. "Are you expecting someone?" He asks but i just shaked my head 'no'.

As soon as he opened the gate...it was y/n standings in front soaking wet while smiling "is Scarlett there?" She asks casually

"WHAT ARE YOU DOING???? COME HERE" i huffed worriedly removing my cardigan making her wear it also wrapping my arms around her pulling her inside

"Uhh... I'm gonna go now" colin mumbled watching me get y/n inside

"CLOSE THE GATE!" i shouted back not bothering to look back and just locked the door

"What were you thinking??? You're not gonna get a fever" i sigh getting towels drying her hair

"I wanna see you.." she whispered underneath her breath

I helped her stood up pulling her to the powder room giving her a bathrobe for her to change. She's just staring at them seemed confused " remove all your wet clothes then wear that ok??" I says earning her nod before i closed the door

I suddenly heard some sounds that aren't really means changing clothes making me frown ny brows in confusion "y/n?? Are you ok?? Are you all change? Can i come in?" I asks softly knocking

"Uhhhh... Okk"

As soon as i open the door she's already changed into a robe while she have this shaving foam moustache and i jusyt couldn't help but laugh watching her chuckled cutely with it

"What areyou doingg?" I huffed can't remove my smile grabbing another towel wiping it off her face but she suddenly lift her hand showing me the shaving foam

"Hey.... Don't" i warned still in the same expression before she actually did it also giving me a mustache making me just drop my shoulders

"Am i handsome?" I playfully asked on a very deep voice watching her laugh

"You are both" she smiled

"Both?" I shaked my head

"Yeah... Both handsome and beautiful" she stated looking directly at my eyes as i felt her hand on my back.. above my waist.

I don't know why but i didn't felt any urge to even step back or move away.. instead i actually caught my self leaning closer to her..

"what are you doing? Stopp.. they're watching.." she suddenly whispered making me just look down and chuckle

"You're embarrassed?" I took a deep breath looking up to her resting my hand on her chest

"No" she look down

"What's the matter?"

"They said if i go close to you they're gonna take you away from me" she huffed

" You don't want that? you want me to stay? "

"No... Roll over" she playfully responded and i just rolled my eyes laughing ruining her hair

"Ok..dont move..ill just grab spme things. Ok?" I asked earning her nod

I left her just to actually grab my blow-dryer and some clothes since i think it's best if she spends the night here. It's still raining heavily outside and the road is too slippery

As i came back downstairs i just chuckled to myself seeing her standing still just like how i left her "you.. didn't actually move" i smiled going to her plugging the blow dryer

"You said so" she mumbled

"Hmm... submissive" i sarcastically says

"What does thaat mean?" She asks looking so confused

"Uhm...forget it... How did you came here?" I quickly changed the topic

"I walked" she responded making me frown my brows in shock

"It's a 3 hours walk, y/n!"

"I enjoyed the rain...i lover Rain" she quietly says putting the PJs i gave her while I'm still drying her hair

After getting her all dried up she suddenly tried going on the rain again "NO! NO!" i scoffed grabbing her to go upstairs to the guest room

"You're gonna sleep here and I'll drive you home tomorrow ok?" I gently says but she's looking at me with pouting with those puppy eyes

"I'm scared.." she sighs

I sat beside her on the bed holding her hand "there's nothing to be scared of... you're safe" i reassured her but she's just staring at our hands

"I like your ring" she referred to the promise ring she gave me..

"Do you want it?" I asked... I don't deserve it.. might as well just give it back to her

"Who gave you that?" She Tilt her head Watching me remove it

"My... Girlfriend"

"Why are you giving it to me then?"

"I don't deserve it...in fact.. i don't deserve her.. she's the best and...yknow"

"You didn't love her" she mumbled

I didn't say anything staying quiet trying to put on the ring on her palm but she refuses shaking her head "no.. keep that...when people give gifts.. it meas love.. that's her love for you..i can't take that away" she grabbed it putting it on my finger again

"Maybe she just wants you to know how much she loves you...and it doesn't matter if you loved her back... As long as she made you felt loved" she smiled
