Long before the dragons took over...
Ancient humans roamed across the lands while dragons remained secluded to their caves.
The humans made a paradise for themselves and built kingdoms throughout the continent.
But there were those who felt like they didn't have enough and began stealing from the dragons which angered them greatly.
Until one day, they had enough...
In an act of retribution, the dragons brought their fury upon the ancient humans...
and scorched the continent leaving none to survive their infernal wrath.
The remaining humans, unable to defend themselves from the dragons' onslaught, were forced to flee to the safety of the undergrounds...
and hide away until their entire legacy was wiped away.
When they finally returned to the surface...
the world no longer belonged to them.
The skies were littered with beasts who would hunt them down to death to remind them of what they had done.
But they persevered and survived...
for such a time when civilization would rise again from the ashes...
and they would once again stand on the surface without fear...
free from the threat of the dragons that now soared above...
and return the lands that were taken from them.
They rebuilt whats left of their old society...
and continued to thrive in the new realm dominated by the dragons...
hoping for the day they can finally return to the surface...
and roam free as their ancient ancestors did before them...
