Maze
I slept na mainit ang ulo, and now I wake up still feeling the rage of knowing that one of my so-called best friends and my boyfriend were cheating on my face, and I'm too dumb to have noticed it.
The worst part is that my other so-called friends know about it and tolerate it. God knows how long they have been lying to my face. I bet they've been laughing about me all this time.
As I sat for breakfast, nahalata ko na iwas na iwas ang tingin sakin ni Lexa. She must have sensed my bad mood. I silently eat my food, saka lumabas ng bahay pagkatapos. Pati ang panahon ay nakikisama sa galit ko. Malakas ang ulan. Sumakay na ako ng sasakyan, napansin ko na wala siya.
"Where is she? Kapag na late ako malilintikan kayong lahat sa akin." I firmly said.
Napansin ko na pinaandar na ng Driver ko ang kotse.
"Nauna na po si Lexa, Miss Maze. Maglalakad nalang daw po siya." Seryoso ba siya? Hindi maganda ang panahon.
And she's true to her words; dahil kahit malabo ang salamin, I saw her figure at the side of the road.
"Pasakayin nyo na nga yan! Anlakas lakas ng ulan." Sabi ko sa driver ko.
Medyo umatras ito at tumigil sa harap ni Lexa.
"Lexa sumakay kana daw sabi ni Miss Maze. Malakas ang ulan, bata ka oo." I thought magpapabebe pa ito.
Ako na mismo ang nagbukas ng pinto agad naman itong sumakay. Nagulat ito dahil sa katabi ko siya pinaupo.
"What are you thinking? Kita mo na ngang malakas ang ulan, nakuha mo pang maglakad. " I handed her some tissue.
"Thank you," said Mahina Niyang Sabi.
Napansin ko na tila nanginginig ito. Pasimple kong hininaan ang aircon. Basang basa ang bandang likod ng suot niyang t-shirt.
Pagkababa namin ng kotse ay hinila ko siya papuntang sa locker ng volleyball team.
I didn't give her the chance to protest.
"Here.." University T-shirt iyon saka jogging pants." Bihira ko iyong magamit.
"Salamat Maze," bahagya itong ngumiti. Ngayon ko lang napansin, but she's beautiful, pala.
What am I thinking?!
"Don't get the wrong idea, kapag ikaw naman ang magkasakit, sinong mag aasikaso ng pagkain ko?" Saka ko siya iniwan. That's it; yon lang yon, kaya ko siya tinulungan.
I went to class after composing myself. I saw my friends. I will play them the way they played me. And I'll make sure this ends with a bang.
"Maze, finally," said Lauren.
"Girls, hello, I'm glad I wasn't late." I have admired her guts all this time. She can have Xavier, who is a cheater and a lying bastard.
"Last night was so fun; I really hope you stayed longer." Si Miranda.
"I bet it is." sagot ko, isa pa siya. I can't believe that she can do this to me.
Napatingin kay Lexa ang lahat when she entered the classroom.
"OMG, bakit suot mo yang t-shirt ni Maze?" bulalas ni Beatrice.
"Girl, did you steal that because, like, hello, Maze's last name was written at the back in case you don't know?" si Lauren.
I can see her getting uneasy.
"I let her borrow it; she was soaking wet from the rain," I replied nonchalantly.
