3rd Person POV.
*not edited*

Unlocking the door to the penthouse, he walked in kicking it close with his feet heading to the kitchen placing the bags on the island and the flowers on the high chair.

Xavier knew he upset Antwone, and he could understand why he was mad at him. He also knew just because last night happened it was going to magically fix itself, that was okay because he didn't mind holding his self accountable.

Taking off the hoodie leaving him in a black wife beater and black sweatpants, unpacking the little groceries he went out for early this morning.

Picking up his phone that started ringing, it was few people on his dnd list so he didn't bother looking at the name.

"Yo."

"You done forgot 'bout me Leon?"

Xavier couldn't help but smile hearing the man on the other side. Placing the phone on speaker he continued what he was doing.

"Nah paw paw. I been busy, ma' bad. How you and maw been these couple'a days?"

"Well I've been ok. You kno' how yo maw get, always tryna go somewhere."

Continuing the conversation that flowed nicely. He had an amazing relationship with his grandparents. He moved around the kitchen replying occasionally and listening to the plans they had for next week. He in return told him about his plans on going to Illinois and California leaving out what he was actually going for.

"Ray!"

He shook his head hearing his grandmother in the background.

"In the living room"

"Have you seen my other shoe- your on the phone? You don't have any friends."

"Yes I do, I speaking with yo' grandson."

"Oh my baybe! Put it on Loud. Leonnn, how have you been?"

He waited until he got the words 'she can hear you' from his paw before he started talking

"Wassup Maw. I been straight, mostly chillin and dealin wit' business. I'a come visit before y'all leave fa' Jamaica next week."

"That's wonderful! I tried this new recipe it came out amazing, didn't it Ray?"

"Mhmm." Like always ray co-signed her

"Gon head send it ova' and I'a try it. I'm in tha kitchen right na'."

Continuing the conversation and a couple minutes later walked over to the fridge doing a double take at a shirtless Antwone walking down the staircase, watching as he completely ignored his stares walking over to one of the high chairs.

Xavier walked back to the food that was on the stove he listened to Cleo, his grandmother, talk. Turning the grits down he made his way towards the Antwone who stood there, eyebrows slightly raised as he listened to Cleo yell at Ray for eating her cake.

"You said I ca' have it Cleo."

"I said SOME not all! Leon do you hear this?!"

"I hear it maw." Xavier said entertaining her

"Really Xavier?"

"Aye man.." he mumbled responding back to Raymond.

"Xavier I'll call you later since I have to make MORE cake now, cause Somebody ate my food."

"Ight maw, I luh you."

"I love you to baybe." He heard her say and hang up the phone.

Shaking his head at the way she took over the entire call. A silence entered the room, one he wasn't exactly used to having with Antwone around. Looking up from his counter he looked at twone who was already watching him.

"I missed you." Xavier spoke up first and a couple seconds later sighed when he didn't get a response.

Pushing his self off the counter he was leaning on he walked over to him leaning down and connecting their lips in a soft kiss. As it carried on he felt as his body relaxed into him when he wrapped his arm around his waist, pulling him closer. Eventually pulling away not wanted to get too carried away.

"I'm sorry baybe. I was wrong fa' not letting you know she leavin', I take accountability fa dat. But we can't take care a no child right na' Antwone and I won't apologize that lil girl safety first. We bout to go to Chiraq then Cali in a couple days. On top'a that we in the middle of a big ass deal and we don't kno' if this shit gon go good or bad. As happy as I seen you wit' her around, and as much I would luh to keep dat smile on yo face, I'm not bout to put a child at risk." Xavier spoke

"You ask me fa' anything else and it's your baybe, but I can't do dat one."

He gave him a kiss before letting him go walking back over to the stove. His mind was already made on the situation on the situation and it wasn't changing anytime soon.

Stirring the cheesy grits, turning it off leaving it to cool down. Going over to the island picking up his phone when a notification when off, opening the message seeing that Cleo sent him a website with a recipe. He loved the message, clicking on the website seeing the strawberry cheesecake rolls. Cooking and baking was one of the many things Xavier and Cleo did while Ray worked his second overnight job. It was something Xavier loved doing since small, it was something new dam near everyday.

Scrolling through the ingredients seeings he needed to go to get strawberries. Putting the phone to the side when twone decided to randomly walk in his arms. Xavier shook his head but let him do as he pleased, feeling his cold hands go in his shirt.

"I can't just forget bout her." He heard antwone speak up

"Neva' asked you to baybe. We ca' go see her every Sunday if dats what you want."

"..Okay"

"And you needa watch dat mouf wit me. You be talkin' real reckless when you'n get yo way Antwone. Hea' me?"

Antwone had a habit of saying outta pocket shit when he got upset, and it didn't take a lot to make him mad. As nice as he was, he was always the hothead out of the group. Taking his kindness for weakness was a mistake a lot of people made.

"Mmm" Twone said in response

"Come eat 'nd we can go lay back down, it's still early."

He was obviously still tired. He honestly only woke up because he noticed Xavier wasn't next to him and the light coming in the room from the curtain still being open.

Xavier planned on taking him out tonight and he wanted him to be up.
