YR 1 [CHAPTER 16]

THREE-HEADED SENTINEL

"im telling you, its spooky. she knows more than you two do" ron said making me roll my eyes

"she is just bright minded, ron" i said to him and i pulled hermoine up with us

but then the stairs moved

"whats happening?" harry asked shouting

"The staircases change, remember?" hermoine answered him

the staircase then stopped leading into a corridor

"lets go this way" harry said

we followed harry pacing our steps, we all open a door and walk into a spooky, dark, and deserted corridor.

"Does anyone feel like we shouldn't be here?" harry asked while i rolled my eyes and sighed

"We're not supposed to be here. This is the 3rd floor. It's forbidden." me and hermoine said at the same time while the boys look at us with confused face

"and there i thought i wasnt your twin and instead hermoine's your twin" i rolled my eyes but then we saw a light and a shadow and then a cat jumped infront of us it was mr. filch's cat ms.norris

"lets go" harry said pacing his steps as we continued to follow him

"its filch's cat!" hermoine exclaimed nervously

"run" i said and grabbed all of them

we run through the corridor, flames are lit up on the stone supports, one by one, as we run past. we get to the end of the corridor, to a door.

"Quick! Let's hide through that door!" harry said and dashed to open the door but it was locked

"its locked!" harry exclaimed

"That's it! We're done for!" ron then whined

"oh, move over" hermoine said as she took out her wand and pointed it to the lock

"alohamora" the lock fell and hermoine opened the door

"get in" she added as we rushed inside the room

"alohamora?" ron questioned making me roll my eyes

"Standard Book of Spells, Chapter 7." i said but this time it was ron's time to roll his eyes

"okay, smartie pants" he replied and this time it was his time to roll his eyes

we heard whispers outside the door

"filch's gone" me and hermoine informed and nodded at eachother

"Probably thinks this door's locked." ron spoke up

"It was locked." hermoine corrected

'im so tired of this two' i thought but i got pulled by my thoughts when harry said

"And for good reason." us three then looked at where harry was looking and then there was a massively huge three headed dog sleeping in front of us The dog begins to wake. It growls, yawns, and growls more noticing us

"AHHHHHHHHH" we screamed i then hurried to the door when ron pushed me while i pushed him back then hermoine and harry opened the door running outside me and ron followed behind them, i was the last one to be out so i hurried and shut the door behind me and lean onto it breathless

we ran to the common room, breathless

"What do they think they're doing? Keeping a thing like that locked up in a school." ron said breathless leaning his hand on my shoulders as he bent down trying to catch his breath

"You don't use your eyes, do you? Didn't you see what it was standing on?" hermoine answered i look at hermoine with confused eyes, i didnt notice what was that thing guarding to be honest

"I wasn't looking at its feet! I was a bit preoccupied with its heads. Or maybe you didn't notice. There were three!" ron exclaimed, i snapped my fingers at this

"point taken" i sighed and we started walking towards the staircase to our dorm

"It was standing on a trapdoor. Which means it wasn't there by accident. It's guarding something." hermoine answered ron, well more like us

"Guarding something?" harry asked shooting hermoine a confused look

"That's right. Now, if you two don't mind, I'm going to bed before either of you come up with another clever idea to get us killed. Or worse, expelled." hermoine said sarcastically at the boys and interlocked our arms

"and im taking y/n with me, if you two gets expelled atleast y/n wouldnt be" she added and rolled her eyes at the boys and dragged me to our dorm shutting the door

me and hermoine walked towards our bed, i brushed my teeth and laid on my bed

"hey hermoine?" i asked while i heard a hmm in reponse

"do you really think that three headed dogs is protecting something?"

"i dont know but i have a bad feeling about it" she sighed while i motion the same action

"good night, y/n"

"goodnight, mione"
