chapter 4

Me and Derek are currently staying in Rome for two weeks since he has to attend his friend's special party

and even tho we are on a vacation together. He hasn't stopped answering those phone calls while I work on my laptop

It was afternoon and Derek told me to get ready since he was gonna take me out somewhere

I decided to wear my simple white dress and beige heels, I grabbed my fur coat in case I got cold and left with Derek.

He rented a car, and he drove somewhere else far away from the city. He was holding my hands as we both continued listening to the song on the radio

I was curious about where we were going until I saw that he had taken me out in a garden here in Rome

he parked the car outside and came out first to open the car door for me, I smiled and took his hand as he shut the door, snaking his arm around my waist as we both walk inside the garden

" what are we doing here? " I asked with a smile on my face as Derek smiled down at me

" you'll see " He replies and I roll my eyes at him making him laugh, pressing a kiss on my temples as we are surrounded by the trees and blooming flowers, luckily it wasn't hard to walk around since the pathway is made with stones.

Fairy lights were everywhere, giving the place a light

Until we stopped int the very end and I admired the clear blue lake in front of me, I inhaled the fresh air as Derek let go of my hand and stood behind me

"This is a nice place, my love. Don't you think? " I asked and turned around to face him, but to my shock.

Derek kneels in front of me, his dark brown eyes filled with tears, his hand shaking as he holds the small velvet box in his hand, showing the diamond ring inside

" Adeline, we've been together for three years and you were the first woman who made me feel what love is... I'm grateful to have you in my life, and the night I took you out for our first date, I began planning my future with you "

Tears roll down my cheeks as if we didn't break our gaze.

He was shaking in nervousness, but he smiled at me to reassure me

" I'm very grateful that I get to wake up every morning with you beside me, I get to spend the rest of my day with you by my side, and it makes me happy whenever I see you laugh, smile, or even giggle knowing that I'm enough to make you happy like that. And I can't wait to spend more of my lifetime with you "

" I know I'm not the perfect guy for you, but I won't gonna give up trying, just to make myself prove to you that I'm ready... I'm ready to face everything just to have you beside me, and I swear to you that every day, I'll be there for you, to understand you, to care for you, to reassure you, and give you all my love "

"Amore.... Will you marry me? "

His voice cracked in the end, I didn't waste time cupping his cheeks and bringing him into a kiss

And I know marrying him, I will become Mrs. Fleming

Not Mrs. Kaulitz whom I thought I would become

It was our last day here in Italy before we went back to Germany, and I was sitting inside the car while

Derek held my other hand, beside me, and talked to someone on his phone in Italian.

I continued watching the trees pass by in the windows while the driver was silent in the front seat.

Kate sent me the email with their invitation and their wedding is taking place in Germany, it's gonna be a forest theme wedding

while her bachelor party will be in a hotel. And as the maid of honor, I have to be there for her

" Amore, I just talked to my friend and he said that he already gave me a bunch of dresses waiting for you " Derek explained and closed his phone, I turned to him and smiled

" already? What about yours? " I asked and he chuckled, his thumb caressing the back of my hand

" I'll get mine tonight. But I can't wait to see you wearing the dresses " He says and places a kiss on my temples

When we arrived at the dress store, Derek's designer friend greeted us very kindly and took us inside the place

I sat beside Derek on the couch as his friend came out holding a rolling clothing rack with a bunch of dresses hanging in the hangers

I can't help but not to laugh as I stand from the couch and look at the expensive dresses in front of me

"Now go and see what suits you the most, " The guy says and smiles at me. I nod my head as he helps me inside the fitting room and Derek waits outside

I made sure to avoid the color white or any revealing dresses. I came out from the fitting room wearing each design of the dresses as Derek helped me out

but it was frustrating when my fiancee told me I looked good with any of the dresses so I just had to ask his friend

I decided to get this dark green dress and since it had no sleeves, we decided to have a matching scarf around it on my shoulders.

Derek purchased the dress and held the bag for me as we got out of the shop

"Next stop? " I ask and put on my sunglasses as Derek holds my other hand

" I have to attend a quick meeting with some of my business partners, but Florence will come to our house to help you pack. And when I got home we could leave already " He explained and I nodded my head.

Derek opened the trunk of the car and placed down the things we bought before turning to me.

He cupped my cheeks and kissed me passionately making my cheeks turn red, I smiled and pulled away before things got too steamy. Derek opened the car door for me as I got in, and the driver drove away back to our home.
