I woke up with a gasp and immediately sat up from the bed, I placed my hand on my chest as I caught my breath.

My trembling hands touched my cheeks and it felt it was wet, I was crying. I looked around and I was still inside the private plane that Derek owned

I guess I'd been asleep for a few hours and missed everything. Then the door opened

Kate pov

As my girls dance around and drink champagne, I watch everyone have fun with a small smile on my face. I look down at the glass of champagne in my hands, feeling not too well to drink it.

It's now July 24 and I still have one day before my wedding day, my bridesmaid is currently staying with me in our hotel room for my bachelor party and I noticed that the person that I've been most awaited for is not here...

" hey, why sad Mrs. Schafer? "

I looked up to see one of my friends walking up to me, she sat beside me and placed her arm around my shoulder, and I couldn't help but not to laugh a little when hearing what she just called me

"Nothing... It's just, I'm nervous about tomorrow " I lied and she smiled at me

" it's alright to be nervous, but let's have fun, it's your night tonight! " She says and pulls me from the couch and makes the music higher.

I laughed until I heard someone knock on the door, I thought it was probably the bellboy, so I placed my glass on the table and walked to the door

I opened it, and I froze to see who it was

" A-Adeline? " I said.

Tears pool into my eyes as I stare at my best friend...

The person I've been waiting for the past couple of days and years. She changed, and she looked better and healthier.

Wearing a short mini brown dress and a fur coat around her, her gold jewelry shines and she never cuts her long hair off.

I know the Adeline I know is still there.

" am I too late? " she asked and shrugged

I didn't hesitate to immediately bring her into a tight hug, squeezing her with me and I didn't care if she couldn't breathe

I cried happily while rocking our bodies together, I felt her hand tap my back softly as I squeezed her tighter

" I've been waiting four years to give you that hug! Girl! " I said and pulled away as I watched her catch her breath, I looked down to her toes up to her head.

" Wow... You look like that rich wife who gets old money from her husband " I continued and examined every detail of her. But then my eyes stopped to see the new diamond ring she wore

It's not the ring that Tom gave her... It's different

" I'm sorry if I just arrived tonight, it was a long flight " Addie apologized but I smiled at her and took her into a hug once again.

This time she wrapped her arms back and I placed my head on her shoulder, smelling the expensive perfume she wore.

But I didn't care, I'm over-thrilled now that she's here. She kept her promise

" you came," I said, my voice turning soft and she let out a small chuckle

"How could I? I could never miss the wedding you've been dreaming about since we were in high school "

I pulled her inside the room and everyone stopped in their tracks when they saw Adeline walk in, of course, she got shy by those stares. But they're just admiring his beautiful she is now

The girls greeted her nicely and as she removed her fur coat and placed it down on the couch, I gave her a glass of champagne and smirked, sitting beside her

"So, you drink alcohol now? " I asked and wiggled my eyebrow. Adeline let out a laugh and took the glass from me

" just a little " she replies and takes a sip

the party continues but I don't stand from the couch as Adeline and I continue talking about our life and what we missed.

While I stare at her, I can see she's already happy with her fiancee...

I want to tell her the truth about what happened to Tom

But it's not mine to tell her everything...

As I continue staring at her, the memories flash back into my mind when I begin to read the message she left me after she left us in Bora, the day when my heart completely shattered

I know Adeline. She became my sister after she began to live with my mom in our house

I could never forget the days when we sneaked out of our house just to buy ice cream every weekend when she didn't want to go out to parties with me because she wanted to stay and study for her upcoming exam.

And the days when I notice how she looks at Tom.

I know it was a real love between Adeline and him.

But would she be able to forgive Tom when she finds out the truth?

I cleared my throat and smiled at her

" what about your life in Italy with Derek? Where is he by the way? " I ask taking a sip of my champagne

" my life with him is been great, he booked the nearest hotel and currently sleeping in our room since his already tired... How about you and Georg? " She asks

and I can't help but not to feel happy when hearing how great she's been with Derek
