It's been a couple days since Lieutenant Ghost was injured, he took a big hit to the head and good stabs to the leg and abdomen. Luckily they weren't deadly enough for him to be out of life cards but he was close with the amount of blood that was lost.

You kept an eye on him, checking his progress always making sure the fluids are correct, and that he was comfortable enough so the pain wouldn't be much for him to bare.

You were checking on his leg, making sure there was no infection and that the bandages were clean and replaced. You glance up at his sleeping eyes, his mask still covering his face, the way his hands rested on his chest as he rested, you couldn't help but admire how peaceful he looked when he was asleep. The softness in his face was like he was at peace.

You smiled softly at the sight and you covered him with the blanket to keep him warm and comfortable.

The image of his face was scorched into your head and you couldn't get it out, no matter how hard you tried. It was so..beautiful, his eyes, his hair, his skin, the scars..

You noticed his eyes opening and you looked down at him and smiled kindly at him, so he had something nice to wake up to.

"Good morning Ghost..how are you feeling?" You ask softly, tilting your head a bit as his eyes slowly blink as it adjusts to the light in the room. He groans lightly and he lets out a breath, looking up at you with those eyes of his..

"Feel like shit.." he gruffs as he reaches up and rubs his eyes with his fingers to wake himself up further. You couldn't tell if he was serious or not with that tone of voice of his.

"Do I need to give you some medicine to help? Anything to eat?" You ask, a little concerned but he softly shakes his head as he softly lets out a small chuckle

"No..I'm alright..don't worry to much about it yeah?.." he says, not as monotone as before. It was more soft spoken and seemed kind. That British accent filling your ears once more and you smile, the worry fading away.

"Seriously though, does anything hurt?" You say and he looks at you, shaking his head lightly to let you know he was alright. You smile softly as you nod back at him and you look at his chart "Well if it makes you feel better you should be out in the next couple days and I already let your captain know about it, so you need to rest as much as possible okay?"

"Fine.." he grumbles softly, not happy that he has to stay in bed longer but he couldn't really go against it.

You set the chart down and you grab a stool as you sit down next to him as you tilt your head lightly

"I know you don't like laying in bed for so long..if there's anything I can do for you to help make you more comfortable, you don't have to be afraid to let me know okay? I'm here for you."

Your words seem to make his eyes soften as he looks at you with those beautiful eyes, he looked so sweet when he looked at you like that you felt your heart flutter.

"What got ya into this joint? A medic for the military I mean" He asks softly, his voice sounding so sweet and kind instead of the rough cold tone he usually speaks with.

He wanted to know you..and you felt honored. You couldn't help but smile happily.

"I uhm..I've always wanted to help people..It's been a dream of mine since I was young..And so many people in the military fight so hard for their countries, they get hurt and some don't survive..I want to try and help those in need and I want to do good for the ones who fight for the ones they love..I spent 6 years of training and schooling so i can be here.."

You sigh softly and fidget with your thumbs as you look down at your hands "I'm sure that sounds original and plain..but it's true.."

He looks at you and he lets out a light chuckle "It's good..to have dreams like that..guess we have something in common. To help people.." he says softly and you swear..there was a smile behind that mask of his.

"I spent so many years fighting and killing..but it helped so many people..so many civilians and as much as they are a pain in my ass, I think the team helps out quite a lot.."

You snort and giggle at his comment of his team and you smile at him. "You're a good guy Ghost..don't let people defy that.."

His eyes widen at your words and he looks at you, letting out a breath and he smiles under his mask, that cold exterior fading bit by bit from every minute he was spending with you.

"Not used to hearin' that kind of thing..means..a lot.."

You smile more and you scoot closer to his bed side and you cross your leg over the other "Guess I should say it more often." You say, your eyes so full of life and joy and he seems to enjoy seeing that from you.

He sighs softly "Close the curtain will ya?" he says as he motions his head to the curtain around his bed.

You nod and get up as you close the curtain around the bed and you look back at him, seeing he was willingly taking off his mask in front of you. Your eyes widen a bit and you go back over as you sit back down on the stool

"you don't have to do that if you don't want to..I know you don't like showing yourself to people.."

"I want to..at least..for you..you..make it bearable..to be seen.." He says as he looks at you, smiling a bit as he does so.

You smile back at him "I'm glad.."
