{dogday pov}
I woke up as I notice catnap wasn't there
I yawn as I sit up and stretch while I stand up as I walk downstairs
I don't see him(catnap) in the living room
[Hm... Not here? He's probably in the kitchen]
*I walk over to the kitchen*
"Hey cat-"

*...*

I look around as I didn't see him
[Maybe he's with the others]

I open the door. I noticed the others at a park so I run over to the others at the park

"Guys guys!"
I called out running over to them with my tail wagging

They look at me confused
Craftycorn: hey dogday! Where were you these past days? You weren't home as we all got worried!

Kickin: yeah where were you man?

I look at them as I say "oh I was with catnap! I wanted to know him better since he was still new!"

Hoppy: oh! Really? Well I hope you guys had a good time!

I nod happily before looking at them a little nervous
"Hey um guys? Have any of you seen catnap? I can't find him"

Bubba: hmmm.... I think I saw him walk out of his house- but I haven't seen him since

Kickin: nope- haven't seen the dude- I did see him near the woods tho.

I nod as I say "can y'all help me find him? I wanted to bake cookies with him"

Picky piggy: yeah we'll help!

/Timeskip they kept looking but couldn't find him as it was getting dark/

Crafty: we been looking everywhere! He is nowhere to be found?

Hoppy: hm? Maybe he's playing hide and seek?

Bubba: with who? A ghost? If he was playing hide and seek he would've told us right?

I was really worried as catnap was still new to this place
"What if he gets hurt! What is he's in trouble?"

Kickin: he seems like a cool dude! I'm sure he's fine

I decided to look around again as it was getting dark

/They all searched the woods calling his name yet even nicknames they made up/

I was walking around late at night.... Some of the others went back home to check the neighborhood as I stayed looking through the woods
[I don't like the woods at night.... It's scary...]
I continue walking before smelling lavender
*'lavender?'*
I whispered as the smell was stronge
[Catnap smells like lavender! He must be near by- but where....]
I look around but couldn't find anything as i walk into something fluffy. I look over noticing a purple tail?
[Wait? That's catnaps tail!]
I look up noticing catnap sleeping on a tree branch!? As his tail slowly swings back and forth gently
[How'd he get up there!? Wait... He's a cat- ofc he can climb a tree]
I look at him as I wanted to join him...
I try my best to climb the tree as after a while I finally get up there as I hold tight onto the branch. I crawl over to catnap as I grab onto him tightly clinging to him as he wakes up

{Catnaps pov}
I wake up feeling something holding me tightly as I look over rubbing my eyes as I notice... Dogday!? I hold his arms as I say "how did you get up here?"

Dogday: I um... I climb... I wanted to see you-

I laugh a little. I put my hand on his head giving him head pats as I say "but I thought you couldn't climb?"

Dogday: I can climb! Just not that good- but I do know how to climb

I nod as he grabs my hand that was giving him head pats as he leans into the head pats
I smile softly as I sit up as he clings to me tighter
"You good? Why are you holding onto me so tight?"

Dogday: tbh- I never been in a tree before- or anywhere high! On that matter....

I laugh
"Aw! Is the little dog afraid of heights?"
I say jokingly as he clings to me more as he says "huh!? No I'm not! I just... Never been in a tree... This high up....

I giggle as I wrap my arms around his waist pulling him closer before wrapping my arms around his chest/neck area
"You been in my house before? And my house is taller then this true!"

Dogday: yeah- but that's a house! With a floor? And stairs? This is a tree-

I say "true-"
I let notice him turning red as a tomato as I get confused
"Are you sick from yesterday?"

Dogday: oh uh- a little but I feel better! I feel way better being with you-

*...*

Dogday: I mean! Uh- you make me feel better... By making me happy?

I laugh
"Aw- your just so cute I can't take you seriously"

I say as I watch him turn red as he hides him face with his hands turning away from me
"Oh now your gonna ignore me? What'd I do?"
I say laughing

Dogday: come on! It's late and we gotta tell the others your okay! We all been searching for you! Why are you even in a tree anyways?

I nod as I let go of him as I jump down as I look at him

*...*

"You coming?"

I say as dogday just stared at me nervously as I look at him
[Oh yeah-... He can't jump down like I do.]
I giggle as I say "you stuck?" I said watching him shrug as he looks down at me while clinging to the tree
"Come on! Jump down-"
I said while laughing still as he shakes his head no

Dogday: it's too high! What if I hurt myself!?

I sigh as I walk over to him, I look up at him as I hold my arms out.

{Dogdays pov}
I look at him confused
"What are you doing?"
I say confused while still clinging to the tree

Catnap: I'm waiting for you to jump?

I look at him even more confused
"But that doesn't explain why you are holding your arms out?"
I say while looking down at him as I notice him chuckle

Catnap: so I can catch you duh?

I look at him for a few minutes before feeling my face warm up as I started turning red as I say "what-"

Catnap: yeah. So when you jump I'll catch you? Or do you wanna jump and risk breaking your bones?
I heard catnap say in a joking manner as I say "nope nope! I'll rather have you catch me!"

I smile awkwardly as I get ready to jump as I push myself off the branch as I close my eyes before feeling myself fall into catnap's arms
[He actually caught me... Damn.]
I open my eyes as I look at him as he smiles and turns around and stares walking while still carrying me
"Put me down- I can walk"

Catnap: nah I think I'll just carry you- you'll take too long walking.
I hold onto catnap as he continues to walk.
[I don't if I should be flustered or annoyed. Wait why would I be flustered!? I don't like him! Right....]
