the noises....

It been a month since catnap joined the team as he started to hear noises(since he has good hearing 👍🏻)
As he would look around multiple times but found nothing...
Until this one boring day was not as boring as it seemed.

Sun,March 5th. 4:30pm

Catnap was sitting at his desk writing while sipping his drink until he heard a knock at the door...

{Catnap pov}
I was writing in a note pad until I heard a knock at my door.
I look over [huh? Why would someone be here at this time? Probably dogday. he been coming over more then lately]
I thought as I got up walking to the front door. I open the door as to my surprise it was hoppy?
[Hoppy? He never really comes over-]
I look at hoppy as I was about to greet him before he barges in
[Did this dude just- you know what- who even cares...]
I close the door as I look at him
"Hey hops??? Whatcha doing here at this time?"

Hoppy looks at me slightly nervous as he says "you been hearing it too huh?"

I look at him dumbfounded
"What do you mean?"

Hoppy: the noises!

(∆=hoppy and ★= catnap)

★: what noises?

∆: the strange noises! I know you been hearing them too! Sometimes I'll see your ears twitching as you look around! You clearly heard it too!

★: wo wo wo! Hold your horses hop! Talk more slow- can you explain more?

∆: the noises...? Yesterday you were laying on the cherry tree near the well in the words as me and piggy were near you at the apple tree remember

★: yeah? Why?

∆: and I saw your hears go up and twitch like you heard something!

★: wait! You mean the noise I been hearing that sounds like weird bugs?

∆: yeah! Those! You hear em too don't you?

★: yeah... I mostly hear them near the wall of this dome we live in.

∆: listen sorry if I came off like I was some crazy person but you gotta listen to me! And don't tell anyone!

★: okay?

∆: I think we aren't alone...

★: ofc we aren't? We got the workers?

∆: yeah but I think there are more things then just workers outside these walls. It might be a another toy! It might even be those huggy things that are really popular at the moment.

★: those tiny fluffy things? I doubt it? Aren't they on the surface? We're like in the basement of the place?

∆: true... But the noises are making me go crazy! I'm literally gonna die of curiosity on what it is coming from!

★: maybe a water pipe? I didn't heard a worker say a water pipe broke recently.

∆: maybe... But idk... It's creepy tho...

★: eh I guess but you should get going... Dogday was gonna come over at 5 and it's 4:47 and he normally been coming 10 minutes early...

∆: yeah... But let's keep in touch to talk about the noises okay- I think me and you are the only ones who are actually able to hear them...

★: why? Can the others not hear them?

∆: no- the workers made it where you can barley hear anything outside the dome. But they gave me extra hearing to help keep track on the kids so I'm able to hear more...

★: and I was given extra hearing to hear if a kid got up from bed... So that explains why nobody else heard them.

∆: yeah... Well I'll see you later.

★: alright... See you. I'll make sure not to tell anyone

∆: thanks.

{Dogday pov}
I was walking over to catnaps house holding a checker set since I noticed he liked checkers as I was walking over to his house I noticed... Hoppy? Walking out of catnaps door and back to his house...
[What was he doing there? He doesn't visit catnap at all tbh... That's kinda weird. I'll ask catnap.]
I thought as I walk over to catnap's door as I knock. I watch the door opening see the purple cat standing in front of me

Catnap: oh hey! You uh- came early again? Come in.

I smile while walking inside before stopping in my tracks...
[Did he sound... Nervous?]
I look at him noticing something off as I sat down on his couch while he sat next to me...

"What were you talking about...?"

I say looking at catnap

{3rd person}
Catnap's ears went up as he looked at dogday

★: what do you mean?

†: I saw hoppy walking out of your house.

Dogday said looking down at his lap before looking at catnap again.

†: you seem off.

★: I'm fine don't worry! It's just something hoppy had to discuss with me- don't worry about it!

†: you sure? You guys don't really talk much.

{Catnap pov}
I get a little nervous as dogday was getting suspicious as I try to change the subject

★: hey what's that?

I said pointing at the checkers box he had in his hands

†: oh I got you this! Since I knew you liked checkers!

I take the box as I open it. I noticed the black was switched with purple and the white switched with red

★: yo this is cool! I never seen a checker bored a different color! It's even has my favorite color purple!

I say happily as I hug dogday as his tail wags

/After they played multiple rounds they both ended up falling asleep/

{Dogday pov}
I woke up as it was turning morning as I notice catnap asleep with his head on the checkers bored passed out
[He sleeps in the weirdest positions sometimes... It always makes me laugh. Probably why I love him so much- wait what am I thinking!? I can't have a crush on my best friend right!?]
I stand up as I decided to take him to his bed. I pick him up as he was pretty light so it wasn't hard carrying him upstairs to his room as we finally made it to his room so I put him on this bed as I notice his desk was all messy. I walk over to his desk noticing his notepad open as I picked it up
[I shouldnt be looking at his things... But I can't help it.]
I read the notepad page
"Today was strange. The noises sound like they were trying to dig. There might be something in the wall of the dome but I doubt it as a worker said s pipe was broken. But it seems strange the noises sound like giggling? Eh probably the pipe or something. It's kinda creepy tho :)"

Noises? What noises? Omg... Is catnap going insane!?
[Nope nope nope! He is not I'm just being dramatic!]
I thought to myself as I lay on his bed as I hug him
[He's so soft!]
I close my eyes falling asleep against catnap

I might add the prototype but make it where catnap doesn't do as he says but idk since the noises are not related to the prototype so idk if I might add him to the story probably not but I might just make it where he is a thing but not near the critters since poppy playtime is nothing without that skeleton ass hand since that made the game unique I guess? Idk -_- I made this like... At 10:37
