Chapter 9

Blank

It's May already and the semester is almost over, which means we're going to have to start preparing for exams soon.

Great, something else to look forward to.

Those exams are the one thing standing between me and summer.

Or the one actual obstacle.

The other thing standing between me and summer would be time.

It's always time.

Chapter 10

Blank

Double rainbows stretched across the sky.

A silouette of a mysterious figure sat in front of the light of the sunrise.

His fingers brushed the fresh morning dew on the blades of green grass between us.

I tried to steal a glance at his face, but someone tapped me on my opposite shoulder.

I thought we were alone?

"Wha-?" I mumbled.

I remembered where I was.

"Miso! Miso!" I heard a voice I recognized whisper.

"Everyone's gone and Miss Zino is looking at you from her desk!"

"Aish! Aigoo." I muttered as I jumped up from my seat, grabbed my bag, and ran to her desk.

"I'm so sorry, Miss." I said formally to our teacher, reflexively bowing deeply and afraid to look directly at her.

Then I stumbled to Hyemi, still half asleep, and pulled my friend out of the classroom with me.

With my blank test paper still lying on my desk.

"Man, Hyemi, my mind had gone completely blank in there!" I

complained to her.

Hyemi rolled her eyes at me, "And so your test was too."

Chapter 13

I gave her a sheepish smile and she laughed.

"Hey Princess!"

My best guy friend chuckled as he walked up to us and hugged Hyemi from behind.

"Hey Bryan!" Hyemi giggled.

"UGH. You guys are so mushy gushy!" I complained, scrunching up my nose in disgust.

"You're just jealous!" Bryan teased.

"Yeah sure. I would never be so-" I paused and made a face at them again. "UGH with MY boyfriend."

"You don't even have a boyfriend!" Bryan snapped back.

"I meant IF." I shouted in his face.

Hyemi giggled again and rolled her eyes at me.
