Change
"You know how Ben-ssi left last year?"
Tae and I nodded slightly, keeping our eyes on Channi.
"Well, he used to take care of Hyeolmoni back in Seoul."
She continued, "But now there's no one to take care of her and she can't take care of herself alone."
Channi paused and I looked away.
"So, we have to move back there to take care of her." Channi finished with a sigh.
Chapter 23
Change
We were all silent for a few minutes.
I looked at Tae who scrunched up his face thinking really hard.
What Channi just told us was slowly sinking in.
Tae's eyes were getting kind of red and puffy.
I lowered my head and started rolling tiny balls of snow beside me.
Well then, now what?
Chapter 24

"So," Channi began, trying to change the mood. "Wanna go for pizza?"
I looked up from my mini snowman I had just finished making.
"Sure." I replied quietly.
Tae jumped up.
He muttered, "I have to go do something, I'm not coming."
Channi looked worried as we watched Tae stomp away.
