Are you okay?

She could hear the voice asking her if she was okay getting closer and luckily she managed to snap out of the trance that she was in, the voice belonged to a man and she guessed he had to be in his twenties

"Are you alright" he repeated his question carefully approaching the young girl "yeah thank you for asking" she answered, a bit of hesitation in her voice "well you don't really look okay, I-I mean yeah you look more than okay beautiful in fact but emotionally speaking not so much" she thought he was out of his mind, she could feel that tears had stained her cheeks and she probably looked like shit, nonetheless she appreciated his efforts of being extremely nice with her: "yeah I guess it is kind of noticeable huh?" "Considering I just saw you run in here like your life depended on it...".

The man was mesmerized by the beauty of the girl, he didn't know her yet there was something that had compelled him to go check on her, maybe it was in his nature he thought "do you wanna talk about it? I know we're just strangers but maybe talking to a person you'll never see again in your life could help".

Mia didn't know if she should explain why she found herself in this situation but as he sat there waiting for an answer she came to the conclusion that maybe what he had proposed wasn't a bad idea after all
" well here we go I guess: I panicked because I'm afraid I'm going to meet some people that are a part of my life because of the worst possible reasons and that I haven't contacted in so long and I'm scared to face the consequences of meeting them" he didn't know what he should answer to that he had always been so good with getting along with people that maybe he wasn't the right person to talk to "are they important for you?" "Yes very" she answered "than you shouldn't be scared of facing them if they consider you as important as i think they do they will forgive whatever you did"

Mia had never thought about that maybe she should talk to the guys she had called family for so long but then again she had changed so much over the years that she didn't know if they still wanted to discuss with her.

"Yeah maybe I will" and with that the two young adults started talking up until the man felt his cell phone ringing a couple of times "oh sorry but I really have to go I'm kinda in a rush tomorrow is a work day, by the way I haven't introduced myself I'm Lando" "well lando thank you for listening to my rambling I'm Mia" and with that, he walked away and she returned to her  extremely worried friends as the boat was approaching the harbor.
