CHAPTER -02
EMBRACING UNITY:
Final Year of School Bonding with Classmates

As the school reopened after the challenging times of the pandemic, Dviti found herself in a new situation. She and Samarth, along with other classmates, were placed in different sections of the same grade. Despite being surrounded by familiar faces, the dynamics had shifted, especially when it came to joining tuition classes.

Currently, Dviti was the only girl among the boys who attended the tuition. This new environment made her feel slightly uneasy, especially with the absence of her close friend Zain. Zain had always been a pillar of support for her. Their bond was so strong that others often mistook their friendship for something different. Zain's presence had acted as a shield, creating a comfortable bubble around Dviti where she didn't have to worry about other guys approaching her.

However, with Zain not around anymore, Dviti felt uneasy. When other guys entered the tuition class, she felt a pang of discomfort. Perhaps it was because she was used to Zain's presence. Observing Dviti's unease, Samarth, being keen, understood the situation. He knew the dynamics of the group and could sense Dviti's discomfort around them. So, he took the initiative to engage her in conversation, asking her doubts related to their studies. It was a subtle yet thoughtful gesture to divert her attention and make her feel more at ease.

As they interacted more, Dviti began to realize Samarth's intentions. She saw his efforts to make her feel comfortable in this new setting, and she couldn't help but feel a sense of gratitude towards him. It made her reflect on her previous interactions with Samarth and how she had perhaps misjudged him.

At that moment, Dviti decided to give their budding friendship a chance. She understood that Samarth could potentially fill the void left by Zain's absence. Perhaps this was an opportunity to forge a new bond, one that could be just as meaningful and supportive as the one she shared with Zain. With that realization, Dviti opened herself up to the possibility of forming a strong friendship with Samarth, navigating the challenges of school and tuition together.

As Samarth introduced his friends seated behind them, Dviti felt a wave of relief wash over her. Among them was Raj, Samarth's best friend, Then there was Rohan, whom Dviti remembered from when he first came to Bangalore and joined their school. The familiarity of seeing someone she knew from before brought a sense of comfort to Dviti. It was like finding a familiar face As Samarth and his friends engaged in conversation, Dviti found herself drawn to Rohan. Their shared history and mutual understanding provided a natural starting point for conversation. They recollected about old times and caught up on what they had been up to since they last saw each other. It was comforting to know that amidst the new environment and unfamiliar faces, there were still people she could connect with. Having someone she could speak to made Dviti feel less isolated and more at home in the tuition class.

As the conversation with Rohan continued, Dviti couldn't help but wonder about Garv, her close friend from middle school. They had shared many memories and experiences Rohan then shared what little he knew about Garv's recent whereabouts, mentioning that he had heard from some mutual friends that Garv had shifted his home.

As days passed and Dviti grew more comfortable in the company of Samarth, Raj, and Rohan, a new seating arrangement became customary during their tuition sessions. Dviti found herself sitting cross-legged on the bench, leaning against the wall for support, with Samarth directly facing her. Raj occupied the seat to her left, with Rohan positioned beside Samarth.

The arrangement allowed for easy communication and interaction among the group. Samarth, being attentive to Dviti's comfort, often adjusted his position to face her directly, ensuring smooth conversation and shared laughter. Their connection had evolved significantly since their first meeting, and Dviti couldn't help but notice the subtle shifts in their dynamic. Occasionally, as their eyes met during conversations or moments of shared amusement, Dviti and Samarth found themselves locked in a brief yet meaningful exchange. In those fleeting seconds, they both recognized the depth of their bond and how far they had come since their initial encounter. A sense of warmth and understanding passed between them, reflected in the smiles they exchanged.

For Dviti, these moments served as a testament to the genuine connection she had developed with Samarth and the rest of the group. It was a reminder of the support and company that had blossomed amidst the challenges of school and tuition. With each shared smile and exchanged glance, their bond grew stronger, solidifying their friendship and creating cherished memories.

As the conversation flowed and laughter filled the air, Dviti realized that perhaps this was the beginning of something new. She felt grateful for their presence in her life. With companions like these by her side, navigating the ups and downs of school life seemed a little less daunting.
