"Yesterday I had an epiphany." Tate says.

"What?" I ask, looking at her.

"Your entire family smells like that - your parents, siblings - hell, even Lucky." Tate says.

"Lucky? Did you sniff my dog?" I ask, laughing.

"He sniffed me first, I was just returning the favor." Tate says.

I laugh and Tate smiles.

"It's the laundry detergent." I say.

"Okay, so where can I buy it?" Tate asks.

"You can't." I say.

"What?" She asks.

"My grandpa used to have really sensitive skin so he had laundry detergent made specifically for him. We've been using it ever since. And Lucky has a skin condition so he's washed with special shampoo similar to the detergent." I say.

"You can sneak me some though, right?" She whispers.

"Haha, yeah, I'll have some sent to you." I say.

She smiles and nods.

I hear a knock on the room door and I get up. I open it and see mom.

"I would like to take you and your lady friend to breakfast." Mom says.

"Why do you keep calling her my lady friend?" I ask.

"Mom, do you not know her name?" I whisper.

Mom stares at me and I chuckle.

"It's Tate." I whisper.

"Oh... I knew that..." Mom says.

"Meet me downstairs in 20." Mom says.

I nod and she walks away. I shut the door and sigh.

"My mom wants to get lunch." I say.

"Really?!" Tate asks.
