Chapter Forty-Three

At exactly 12:03pm on Saturday afternoon, I arrived in Miami, Florida. I had received a call from Miranda a day before. She had sounded quite amused at the fact that she was calling me of all people. I could hear it in her voice that she expected me to decline and say something snarky in frustration.

"Miss Allison Grate? Hi, it's Miranda Crass. You must remember me." Her voice came through the phone.

"Of course I remember you, how could I ever forget?" I bit my lip to keep from laughing.

"Well, as you know, Trinity Summers is one of the final three. Yesterday we had our final ceremony and she was named a runner-up. She gets to invite five friends to-"

"Miranda?" I cut her off. "I know all of this. I got briefed on it for like three hours a week in the past two months."

"Ah, yes. Well, Trinity has you as her first guest. If you choose to accept, we will have your flights faxed to you, and we will have a car pick you up at the airport in Florida to get you."

"Go ahead and fax those to me, then." I replied.

"It's quite alright, Trinity has a backup- Wait. You accept?" Miranda talked over herself. Her voice sounded surprised.

"Yeah, why not?"

It was quite amusing, especially since she sounded astounded as she gave me the rundown for the entire two days of being there. So now I was in the car (It wasn't a limo for once!) on my way to a beach house. Caleb and Devin had tried to apologize, while Nick stayed by his personal opinion that everything had changed and I was on my way to becoming an annoying girl.

As much as I tried not to think about it, Nick was slowly becoming an Elijah replica. Suddenly deciding I was becoming too much of a girl. I couldn't stand it. I couldn't stand to go through that all again.

"Miss Grate, we're here." The driver said it simply.

I looked out the window to see a three story house, with peach colored walls and a large gate. It seemed perfect for a bunch of popstars… Especially with the fact it looked like a bunch of people had scrubbed every inch of it in the past few days. The front lawn was perfectly manicured, the flowers bright and colorful in front of the door, and the driveway clean.

The driver escorted me into the living room, where about twenty other girls were hanging around.

"Al!"

"Woah, Andie! Didn't know you were going to be here!" I grinned as the girl came over to give me a side hug.
