CHAPTER THIRTY
What's taking him so long?
"NO, no, no—oh my God, Helix! No!" I screamed as he grins and pulled me to the edge of the cliff.
He threw his shirt aside. I was still not good with the idea of jumping off this cliff.
So, he wasn't kidding at all. We're really going to jump off this cliff.
Grabe. Ang hilig niya sa mga bagay na puwede akong atakihin sa puso! Jusko.
Letting out a frustrated sigh, I took off my summer dress and revealed a pastel blue bikini underneath.
I was waiting for him to look away, but his eyes were forever stuck in my body.
"My God, Helix. We've been dating for nine months already. Don't act like it's your first time to see me—"
"Sorry, you're just too hot and gorgeous all the damn time," he said, giving me a quick kiss on my lips.
Napangiti tuloy ako bigla.
It's been nine months already since we got back together at the camp. And all I could say is that we're both perfectly happy every single day.
He made sure we always go on a date every Friday and Saturday. Also, he's been always visiting me at home. My dad goes to the gym with him three times a week. Helix motivated him to get himself busy whenever he's not at work, and he usually sets a blind date for my dad. I didn't know how he convinced my dad to go out on a date when Gerald and I have never convinced him to do that.
Siguro may kung ano'ng pinainom o pinakain si Helix kay dad. Siyempre, biro lang.
"Let's jump now, baby," bulong niya sa 'kin saka niya kinuha ang kamay ko.
We counted one to three . . . and together, we jumped.
When we felt the water on our body, he pulled me closer to him.
I shivered when he brought his lips down to mine.
"Let's jump again, baby. That was—" He kissed me again, cutting off whatever it was that I had to say.
"Fun," I said, panting against his mouth.
Slowly, he nodded. "Mm," he agreed. Ugh, that was sexy.
His mouth traveled to my jaw, making me moan softly. His hands traveled around my back, mine holding onto his shoulder.
"Get a room, lovebirds!" I heard Dest yelling from the edge of the cliff. Bitter! Wala kasing love life. Tss.
Helix and I let out a small laugh. "He's jealous, he's alone," Helix said in between our kisses, making me laugh even more.

IT was dark; the bonfire was up from a distance.
Zeke and Kath were taking pictures together. Andrew and Nico were talking about girls in college. My brother, Ger, was eating hotdog with Dest. May kanya-kanya kaming agenda, at nakatutuwa talaga silang pagmasdan.
I'm happy we got the chance to spend the summer like this. I admit it, I missed the P5. They were the brothers I've never had, and I wasn't ready to admit that for so many years because they weren't that good to my eyes. But now, they're a big part of me. And I'll always love them. All of them . . .
Nagpaalam sa 'kin si Helix na babalik muna siya saglit sa hotel dahil may kukunin siya. Sabi ko sa kanya ay sasamahan ko na siya, pero umiling siya at sinabing babalik din naman agad siya. Nagkibit-balikat na lang ako at hinayaan siya.
Lumapit sa 'kin si Nico at nakipagkuwentuhan sa 'kin. Na-miss ko rin talaga 'tong si Nico. Halos siya talaga 'yong naging best friend ko. Mas close ko siya kaysa kay Kath, sa totoo lang. Si Kath kasi parang baliw lang minsan eh, tapos magkaiba pa kami ni Kath palagi ng gusto. Pero kami ni Nico, solid kaming dalawa. Magkasundo sa lahat ng bagay.
Lumipas ang halos isang oras, wala pa rin si Helix kaya napakukunot na ang noo ko at maya't maya akong lumilingon sa paligid ko.
"What's taking him so long?" nag-aalalang tanong ko kaya napatingin sa 'kin si Dest na nakaupo malapit sa 'kin.
"Who?" he asked.
"Helix."
"How long has it been since he left?" kunot-noong tanong niya.
"Almost an hour now," I said, rolling my eyes. Don't tell me he went to sleep while making me wait?
Magrereklamo pa sana ako pero napatingin kaming lahat kay Dest dahil sa biglaan niyang pagtayo at pagtakbo pabalik ng hotel.
Naiwan akong tulala at makalipas ang ilang segundo ay nagpabalik-balik ang paningin ko sa mga kasama ko.
