Hi! I'm going to teach you a couple of verbs, so we can make sentences soon!
In Spanish we classify verbs in three ways. The words that end in -ar, the words than end in -er and the ones that end in -ir.
Sleep=Dormir
Eat=Comer
Walk=Caminar
Drink=Beber
Go=Ir
Sing=Cantar
Talk=Hablar
Do=HacerBut how do we use the verb in a sentence?
We don't say "Tu hablar mucho". So, we conjugate the verbs.
Por ejemplo: (verbo cantar)
Yo canto
Tu cantas
Nosotros cantámos
Él canta
Ella canta
Vosotros cantáis
Ellos cantanWe put a sufix to conjugate; change-ar, -er or -ir by:
Yo= -o
Tú= -as or -es
Nosotros= -émos or -ámos
Él= -e or -a
Ella= -e or -a
Vosotros= -éis or -áis
Ellos= -en or -anIf the verb is Caminar, it would be:
Yo camino
Tú caminas
Nosotros caminámos
Él camina
Ella camina
Vosotros camináis
Ellos caminanIf the verb is Hacer, it would be:
Yo hago
Tu haces
Nosotros hacémos
Él hace
Ella hace
Vosotros hacéis
Ellos hacen
(This is an irregular verb)
