There were no voices. There were no people. The only sound that could be heard were the waves crashing against the earth; the pull back of the ocean then the waves coming back down.

Matt looked at ocean, the power it can hold, how the ocean was always there, calm at times but a deadly force that if you mess with it, it comes, taking everything down in its path.

The ocean reminded him of how this world worked. If you become something that people don't like, they come, taking you down.

Did Matt want to be part of this world when no one could accept his differences? Could Matt accept his own differences?

If he threw himself into its wrath, it would surely kill him, would it not? A question he asked himself more often than he would care to admit but perhaps today his question would be answered.
