Chapter Six

Drew Woods

I look at my mate as I get Sarahs message
"You got it too?" I ask, she nods gulping
"I don't like this Drew, I don't like this feeling I got from her words" Mandy says, I nod agreeing. Sarah seemed off and I'm hoping it's not because of what I think it is.

Mandy and I are pacing in my study waiting for our daughter. The door opens and she comes in closing it behind her
"Honey, is everything okay?" Mandy asks, Sarah looks lost in her thoughts then shakes her head

"Do you guys have anything to tell me?" She asks, I calm myself so she can't hear my nerves through my heartbeat then make eye contact with Mandy, she's also in the same mindset as me

"What do you mean?" I ask, Sarah sighs closing her eyes then opening them to look into mines
"Dad, that vampire that spoke to me told me, and I quote, your so called parents should've been told you since the first attack" She says, fuck.

"Sarah, he could've been trying to get to your head, we haven't been hiding anything fr-" Mandy starts
"Stop! Mom." Sarah says cutting her off, "He was not lying to me, he looked me in the eyes and I could feel the honesty, you know I can feel what people feel. I felt pure honesty and disbelief from his words" She says, I look at Mandy

"It's time babe" I mindlink her, she looks torn up by my choice but it's obvious that we can't keep this from her anymore

"Sarah, you're right. We haven't told you something really important and the vampire was right. We should have told you since the first attack" I say, she looks at me waiting for me to continue

"Honey, we didn't know how to tell you, we only found out when you were ten because we noticed some weird things going on with you so your Aunt Rose helped us out" Mandy says

"What is it? What have you guys kept from me?" Sarah asks, I gulp
"Sarah, I'm not your father" I say, the look in her eyes kills me, she looses her balance and sits on the chair behind her

"What?" She asks, I lean against my desk as Mandy is holding in her sobs
"Who's my dad?" Sarah asks as a tear slides down her cheek

"I don't know, I had ran away from home after a fight with your Dad, Drew, and I got drunk, so drunk my wolf wasn't able to take control to keep me safe. I had a one night stand with a guy I met at the bar and never heard from him ever since he left the room before I woke up" Mandy explains.

I try so hard not to show how heartbroken I am but I fail as I start to silently cry. I remember that night, I had gone out to look for her everywhere but didn't find her. Then I catch her scent and find her naked in a room alone, a weird scent still present but obviously gone.

"A one night? Did you try to look for him?" Sarah asks, Mandy shakes her head
"Your grandparents would have killed me if they found out that you're not Drews daughter. So Drew accepted you, and we both promised to keep this to ourselves" Mandy says

"When you were ten we noticed how you were...different. Your Aunt Rose took you to someone and we found out why you weren't like every other werewolf, because you weren't a full were. You're half fairy" I speak up as Mandy cries but tries to hold herself up

"Half fairy?" Sarah asks, I nod
"That's why you can feel people's emotions, you can control their emotions too, I don't know if you've noticed but you can. You are magical, that's why everything you do is way more special and beautiful" I say

"So that means my biological father is fairy," She says, I can tell the gears are working in her head as she starts to put the puzzle pieces together, "So that must mean, that these attacks are from him? He wants me" She says

"Yes, it must be but the real question is, why now? Honey, if he really wanted you to be a father, he should have found you years ago" I say, she sighs

"Can we maybe, talk to him then?" She asks, I look and Mandy, we both shrug
"We could try" I say, she looks at me
"Thanks dad" She says, I smile a little and nod

"Go take a shower now sweetheart, we'll see what we can do" Mandy says, Sarah kisses both our cheeks then leaves. I slam my hand on my desk making Mandy jump

"Drew" She says in shock
"She knows shes not mine" I say, a tear slides down my cheek and Mandy places a hand on my shoulder

"Babe, she is yours. You raised her. She's more yours than his" She says, I lick my lips then look at my mate
"What if she leaves me for him? What if she wants to be with her biological father instead of me?" I ask

She can see the fear in my eyes and hear it through my words, she cups my face in her hands and kisses me softly, she pulls away a little bit, her thumbs creasing my cheeks

"She loves you Drew. She would never do that to the man that she grew up calling Dad, she may want to get to know the man but she'll always be your daughter" She says
