Lawrence, one of the security guards who handled parking her car was no where to be found. Ella knew the desk attendant saw her as she made a point out of smiling. Glancing at her watch she barely had time to look back up before feeling a hand clasp around her wrist and pulling her behind them and into a car. It was a man. Her mind froze and she barely registered the words forming from the man's lips. "You must be my girlfriend," he said before the door closed and the car started moving.

Ella must have been dreaming. This was probably another one of her weird dreams after watching a marathon of How to Get Away with Murder.

"Wake up." She mumbled to herself before pinching her thigh. The handsome stranger in front of her gave her a quizzical look before returning to his phone.

"Are you okay?" His voice was velvety smooth and very much masculine cutting through her little freakout. Men that looked good and had sexy voices didn't murder people like her, right?

"Just tell me is it money you want? Are you kidnapping me?" Kyle was startled from her questions. He really hoped he didn't just pick up some random stranger. But she did fit the description the lady on the phone had told him.

"What no?! Sorry I know it seemed a little weird the way I just pulled you with me into the car." Scratching his neck he looked a little sheepish. "I realize I may have handled you a little roughly and for that I apologize. Didn't they tell you anything about me?"

She stared at him as if he had grown an extra pair of ears. Ella wasn't ready to speak yet so she just silently shook her head.

"Oh. Well, the 'Hire a Girlfriend' agency said you would be standing in front of the Buxton Buzz headquarters in a white blouse and black pencil skirt. I'm surprised they didn't tell you anything. Well do you know who I am?"

Of course Ella knew who he was.

"Yeah, Kyle Swartz, son of John Swartz of Swartz Jewels. That's about it." He liked her voice. It wasn't nasally or high pitched.

"So I'm y-you're girlfriend?" She squeaked. There had to have been a mistake somewhere. Either that or her best friend was really good at manipulating her and fully confidant in the fact that kidnapping Ella under some fake pretense was just what she needed.

Kyle thought it odd how she was asking. "Yeah for the next week or so. My parents are having their annual cabin trip and I needed a girlfriend for private reasons to sort of impress my parents. To be honest my friend Max was the one who gave me your agency's number. He said you guys are very professional. I'm just glad you turned out good looking. They told me your name is Kayla?"

Ella was at a standstill. She could play along and act as his girlfriend or tell him the truth that she had no idea what he was talking about and make him stop the car and drop her off back to the safety of her home and life.

Do something brazen. Act wild. Emily had told her. In that split second Ella had taken the decision to just play along as his girlfriend. After all a weekend with the multi millionaire couldn't be that bad, right? She could do some investigating in the meantime.

"Uh no. It's actually Ella. They must have messed up my name."

"Nice to meet you Ella. Where are your clothes?"

"Umm, I haven't packed anything. They didn't tell me where I'd be going so I thought to just wait and ask you first. Do you mind dropping me off on Hartford Drive? My penthouse is there and if you don't mind waiting like fifteen minutes I'll just pack some clothes and be right back."

Nodding his head, he instructed his driver to her house and they chatted a little until her building came in view.

Ella was running around frantic in her penthouse. Thankfully the boys didn't come upstairs. That would be crossing some weird line. Grabbing her suitcase from the back of her closet she quickly went about adding what she deemed "appropriate" attire.
