His back was aching. His sides hurt. And he felt worse than he did when he was awake. "Stupid couch." He muttered. His so called refreshing nap was not refreshing at all. Tonight he would be sure to sleep on the floor or coarse Ella in sharing half of the bed.

Throwing the light cover off of his sweaty body he stood and stretched. Ella was still asleep. Her chestnut brown hair fanned around her and she looked so peaceful, except for the fact that her mouth was slightly open.

If it weren't for the Ally texting him to prepare for dinner with his family, he would have just let her sleep but unfortunately he couldn't. Lord knows they would probably smell that their relationship was a full sham. Bring his girlfriend would be no easy task, especially because of his piranha mother. He knew she didn't have the chance to grill Ella and he feared for both Ella and him. If by the end of the trip they were successful he'd make sure to pay her extra.

"Ella, wakey-wakey." He cooed in her ear, lightly shaking her. She didn't even stir.

"Ell," playing with her ear lobe he waited for her to open her eyes or swat at him but all she did was mumble incoherent words and turn to her side, giving him the side of her neck and an exposed shoulder. Kyle was beginning to get anxious to get ready. They'd both need to shower and he really hoped they'd have enough time. Like all of the other girls he'd met Kyle was sure she'd need at least the full hour to prepare and get ready.

Moving to the last resort he bent down and paused a second before liking a small piece of her neck. It was salty and tasted of vanilla. He sat back with triumph as he watched her eyes pop open and outrage fill them.

"Aahh." She sat up and wiped the area at her neck.

"You liked me?!!" It wasn't a question but more of a statement. He couldn't help but smile like a little kid and shrug his shoulders.

"You didn't give me a choice."

"A choice!" She squeaked. "Kyle you could've shaken me awake, politely told me to wake up, not lick me!" Rolling his eyes he gave her a duh expression.

"I already tried all of that. It's not my fault you sleep like a log."

"I don't!" She spluttered. And he couldn't help but think how adorable she looked when she was all worked up.

"Yes you do and before you argue back we have only an hour before dinner so I do suggest you get your tush out of bed. I'll be nice enough to let you shower first." Rolling her eyes and huffing she threw the sheets off her body and jumped out, grabbing her bathroom bag and a bathroom robe with her.

Standing in front of the mirror, she stared at her reflection as she waited for the water to warm. Her eyes looked a little dull, not like they used to be when she had first started her business. Even her hair looked a little lifeless, but at least that she could cure that with a little hairspray. Stepping into the shower, she basked into the pelting of the droplets on her skull and skin. It helped ease the tension in her muscles and relax a little.

Tonight would be when the real game begins. Ella couldn't help but feel a little nervous. Was she wrong in faking her identity and just playing along? Emily certainly would be proud of her. Either that or think she was crazy.

With the bath robe tightened around her waist and the water shut off, she quietly opened the door and stepped out to let Kyle in. At least he wasn't bad looking and maybe this trip would be exactly what she needed. Besides, there would most likely be major insider scoop on the rich & elite who were attending.

Making sure Kyle had closed the bathroom door behind him she stripped into a pair of her best lingerie. Nothing like a skimpy, sexy set of bra and panties could make her feel more womanly and in charge of the world. Skimming her articles of clothing, she quickly pulled out an evening midnight blue dress. The bodice was embezzled with jewels and the dress was only knee length. She was glad she had decided to include it with the rest of her clothing.  Truthfully, she realized she probably underpacked but at the time she didn't think much of it.

Slipping into her comfortable pumps she made sure to tie her hair into a high ponytail and let a few wisps of her bangs frame her face. Keeping her make-up to a minimum she decided to just lounge back on the couch Kyle had previously occupied and scroll through texts and emails from Emily. Work, ads, work, ooh coupons. She thought to herself.

"You're done?" Lifting her head from her phone screen she could not pull her eyes away from his abs and the towel that hung low on his hips. Her heart rate escalated and she felt her body heat up. She was blushing and her complexion did not help hide it. It had been a very long time since she'd seen a nearly naked man in front of her and the hormonally suppressed woman inside her screamed to be left out.

"Yeah." Trying to sound confident and cool she miserably failed as she tried to act like his near nakedness did not effect her in any way. But she was lying even to herself. It had been such a long time that she had let herself escape to the throes of passion. Her work had come first and was what was consistent in her life. She could always count on another scandal, another cover story, something to keep her busy, not like all of her previous relationships. For Ella, work is stable and stable is good

"Are you okay? You look a little flushed." He had a subtle grin and a mischievous twinkle in his eyes. Kyle knew why she was so red but wanted to make her uncomfortable a little bit more.

"Yes, just something I read. If you don't get ready soon we'll be late and I hate being late. It won't look good in our case."

"We're not even a real couple." He scratched his head as he watched her close both eyes shut and place her hands over her face while he slipped into his clothes. She shrugged her shoulders at him.

"It doesn't matter, we're still playing a couple." Because of her hands as barriers, her voice came out a little muffled.

"Sorry?" Buttoning up 2 of the 4 buttons on his Polo shirt he walked over to her and placed both hands on her shoulder. Ella couldn't help but flinch from the sudden contact and looked up to stare straight into his eyes.

"I said it doesn't matter if we are acting. We are still playing the roles of girlfriend-boyfriend."

"Mhm," he mumbled before randomly tucking in one of the wisps of hair she had left behind her ear. Stiffening her shoulders she looked at him. This was running into dangerous territory and she couldn't afford getting into a relationship. Just because she was playing the part of a hired girlfriend didn't make her the equivalent of a hired escort.

"Are you okay?" Breaking his trance she watched as he nonchalantly turned away from her before slipping his hand with hers.

"Yeah," was all that he replied. Walking behind him and out of the door she gave herself a quick glance in the mirror and pulled out the previous tendril back before slipping her hand back into his and moving towards the dining room.
