Darkness...

That's all I could see until Suzie pressed her cold nose against my cheek and I realized we were still alive. The trains must have collided sooner than I thought...

Suzie stepped back and whinned nervously. I sat up, nursing my head, and glanced around. We were underneath what appeared to be the train itself, crushed together so badly I almost forgot it was a train. The wheels were hanging dangerously close to my head, and I squirmed away from them and into another corner. There was a crack of light, and it was shinning on my face as Suzie wriggled into my lap.

"Oh, Suze." I sobbed. "What'l we do?"
