When Percy died, Sally, Paul and Annabeth all sat outside with tears streaming down their cheeks. A steaming pile of blue cookies lay next to them untouched- they'd lost the spark they used to contain.

At some point during the night, a man in a blue printed shirt and wise green eyes appeared next to them and sat down.

Poseidon grieved for his mortal son with his ex-lover and her husband. He tenderly, almost like he didn't know how, wrapped his arms around Annabeth. She leant her head on the God's shoulder.

She never told anyone, but she felt tears on her shoulder, tears of ichor from the God of the Seas who had lost his favourite son.

Update!! I wrote this because I think that though he doesn't show it often, Poseidon loves Percy a lot. I hope you all enjoyed this small chapter :)
