His Not So Real Love

Earlier was awkward

Ian's Pov : 

the situation now cannot be described in any term other than awkward.

After Maya and that freaking dude Asher left, I stayed behind in Maya's house. I didn't know if I should leave or stay...Wait or go find a one nightstand...I was lost...until I heard a knock and that's when I thought that Maya is back. I ran to the door like a kid. I thought that she canceled her date but as I opened the door, shock took over me...There stood the one and only ...Rose.

"Ian...What the hell are you doing here and where is Maya?...Maya" she yelled with a tensed look

Rose looked the same as always. She is always dressed perfectly. Every outfit of hers showed a high taste and an appreciation for fashion. Her golden hair swayed in the air and shinned like a halo illuminating her. Her blue orbs...the ones that I adore looked like a storming...

"Maya..." Rose yelled more and I stopped eyeing her 

"She is not home." I informed her 

"Well what the hell are you doing here ?" Rose said furiously and pushed me aside to get in 

"Maya and I are friends and friends visit each other like you are doing now..." I fired at her and for once I felt annoyed with Rose's possessiveness and control over Maya 

"You were never her friend...In fact, you never gave her a second look before." Rose yelled back at me 

"Well I was an idiot back then. " I tried to defend myself but right now I knew for sure that I was an idiot 

"Maybe because she was a little overweight but now that she lost some pounds you want to get her in your bed" Rose accused me as she sat on the living room couch and I couldn't deny that the idea of sleeping with Maya had crossed my mind endlessly...but could Rose be jealous?

"What if I want to bed her?" I shot at Rose as I stood next to her way too close if I may add 

"I won't let you" she yelled and challenged me looking me right in the eyes.

She didn't expect our faces to be that close and I didn't expect her to freeze but she did. We both continued to study each other's faces and I found this usual comfort in Rose's eyes but for a reason my eyes didn't drift downward...My gaze never reached her lips...Not like it does with Maya...There was no pull...No intensity! Maybe my heart finally accepted that it has to let go ?

"Guys?" I heard the questioning statement and it brought me out of my head in no time...there was Maya looking shocked, hurt, in pain? 

"Maya" Rose and I yelled at the same time and jumped away from each other

"MayMay..." Rose uttered coolly as she walked to Maya and hugged her but the latter's eyes we set on me and in them was this new kind of void 

"Rose, what are you doing here?" Maya questioned in a small voice and I knew immediatly that she would rather be anywhere but here 

"I came to check on you but I was surprised to find Ian here ..." Rose admitted 

"I am surprised too he should have left like half an hour ago..." Maya explained kind of sharply and threw me a silent glare 

"I didn't know what to do when you left for your date..." I slowly explained but got only a nod as an answer 

"So why are back so rapidly when you only left half an hour ago?" Rose asked with fear and care 

"I forgot my phone..." Maya answered as she pointed to her living room table and there was her phone

"Asher is here ?" Rose continued to ask 

"Yeah in the car he is waiting for me " Maya nodded as she answered 

"Can I meet him?" Rose asked in a childish hyper way 

"Sure...Why not I guess..." Maya answered after a moment and walked to the door leading the way...

"May..." Asher saluted her with a hug again and I tensed and froze 

"Ash...I was gone for like ten minutes!" she smiled at him sweetly and a low grumble roared in my chest 

"Long enough for me to miss you..." he replied with a grin and continued to act like a teen in love

"Silly" Maya teased him then turned to us " These are my friends Rose and Ian." she introduced us in very formal way 

"Nice to meet you both." Asher politely saluted us 

"So Asher how did you get to know our Maya..." Rose asked and I found myself wanting to know all the details about their stupid relation 

"Well Nick is my friend and lately he kept talking about this girl " a fireball" he called her and I got intrigued. I heard him describing her ...beautiful, hyper, independent, strong, forgiving, kind... then he finally showed me her picture and then I kind of wanted to know her in person so Nick set us up." Asher explained and side hugged Maya closely next to him and the latter blushed. Her cheeks turned deep red and her dark orbs shinned adoringly as they studied Asher. Then all I saw is red. I wanted to rip her out of his grip and hold her tight in my hands. I wanted to punch that guy once, twice or a million time....Outraged that's how I felt 

"That's so sweet but if you ever hurt her I will find you and break your neck " Rose threatened and Asher looked at her amusingly then nodded and promised to cherish Maya 

"Earlier was awkward. I hope that Maya ddn't get the wrong ideas. I have to explain the situation to her ..." Rose breathed heavily as we walked away from the couple allowing them to go back to their freaking date 

"It was..." I simply replied because images of Maya and Asher making out on their date kept torturing me 

"Are you okay?" Rose asked as her hand shot and held mine and suddenly I realized it there were no sparks anymore 

"Yeah" I replied faintly as I withdrew my hand 

"You are falling for her." Rose's shocked announcement stopped my tracks and I froze how can I e in love with a simple girl? a girl other than Rose?  an already taken girl?
