In 2016, a dusty old box is anonymously donated to the World Faery Society. The box is accompanied by a note that reads: "Discovered under floorboards in an old house in Westbury, Tasmania, Australia". The box is brimming with artifacts and documents that appear to be the remnants of a life, the life of a convict in the mid-1800s.
The box captures the attention of Willow Beck, the granddaughter of Dr. Arthur Beck, president of the World Faery Society.
Dr. Beck is an independently wealthy and esteemed historian who first became interested in faeries as a young boy while spending hours in his grandparents' garden. When he was six years old, he spotted his first faery (but no one believed him).
Since then, Dr. Beck has become one of the world's leading experts on faery folklore, having gained his post-doctorate degree in the subject. Mr. Beck has rooms full of research dedicated to the tiny winged creatures. He possesses books, field evidence, scientific discoveries and documented stories passed down through generations. Arthur prefers the old ways of collecting knowledge, but Willow convinced him of the Internet's benefits, especially after she stumbled across a YouTube video of a faery sighting in the town of Westbury, Tasmania.
Dr. Beck is amazed and encouraged by the passionate, worldwide online community of faery believers. After examining the Westbury Faery evidence within the box, grandfather and granddaughter deliver an urgent call-out to the faery community: join their quest. Help them investigate the mystery of The Westbury Faery and prove that faeries truly exist. Write your story that answers the question: Who is The Westbury Faery and what is her story?
