1. A locked room mystery. Your main character comes home to find a book lying on their bed, one they do not own. All the doors and windows were locked. How did it get there and who left it?
2. Bad weather forces the main character to stay somewhere unexpected overnight. They aren't thrilled with the company.
3. Something is scratching at the door. The main character doesn't have any pets.
4. This is why we can't have nice things.
5. An overheard conversation completely changes the main character's life.
Note: I use singular 'they' for gender neutrality. If Shakespeare can use it, so can I.
