A/n- hey guys I know I'm late updating but I been so tired lately with school and over the weekend but today my teacher in 2nd period civics roasted Donald Trump saying that he looks like a cheese ball and needed to get rid of the cheese, that made my day I love her she is so funny also she is really petty to just in case you run in to her she will roast you even if she doesn't know you and that what makes it fun in her class we'd be lit asf she is my favorite teacher B-)^_^ alright onto the story ya know ;-)

Yasss I'm enjoying this weekend off but I miss my bae (my mate) I bet he is lonely, I might go see him later. Hmm what time is it oh yeah it's the Time me and Mariah get off together on Thursdays and Fridays, I bet she was worried about me that I didn't come in on Tuesday. 'yep this is why I don't like to over do my self like this' I thought while I was thinking, somebody knocked on my door'uh who can that be this is not really rare though' I said to myself,

I was walking towards the door while the whoever is behind it better shut up, "what do you want I'm trying to relax while I have the week off because I'm so tired with stuff-" I yelled then stopped when I opened the door to revealed Chris Henderson just kidding I don't know who that is but it was Mariah at the door looking at me confused but shook it off,

"Hey mari *Nick name* how you doing today well this fine week" I said nervously because I wasn't expecting her now actually anytime at my door it must be important, "hey Athena Claire told me she gave you the week off because of stuff"she said, while sitting herself down on my couch and I did the same, "yeah you know me how I was tired from the work and all I don't know what happened to me this time" I said to Mariah

'Oh just lie to her face I thought you don't lie to each other that's what friends are for actually let me rephrase that 'Best friends' to say' my mind said 'oh shut up ' I replied, "OK but you remember we made a promise to not lie to each other no matter what"she said nervously, I looked at her confused at what she was trying to say"yeah where did that come from"I said

"Well....OK let me get to the point....Are you lying to me Athena cause I swear to Patricia I will befriend you"Mariah said in a serious tone with a serious look on her face, "woah woah woah Mariah I would never*lies*lie to you your my best friend in the world"I said desperately trying to persuade her not to think I'm lying and breaking our promise to each other.

"OK I just saying but before I leave what where the meetings with Claire you have all last week where you have to leave early" Mariah said I looked at her deciding on what to tell her because I'm not going to tell her the truth, "Mariah it's nothing just information on a animal we're studying in the lab just going over basic facts nothing much" I said while Mariah looked curious at me

'Of course she loves dinosaurs to the maximum amount'i thought with sarcasm in my voice, "ohh what kind of animal is it a dinosaur" Mariah said desperately trying to know the information, "I'm sorry Mariah I can't tell you but it's a dinosaur"I said with an  apologetic look in my eyes as I face her.

"Why can't you tell me Athena I thought we didn't keep secrets from each other or lie " she said to me "I'm sorry but Claire will kill me if I tell anyone it's classified information which nobody can know" I said to Mariah also my heart hurts knowing I don't like to do this to my best friend, "does anyone else know about this classified information" Mariah asked oh this girl is going to be the death of me 

"Yes me , Claire, Owen and the Dr who specializes with the dinosaurs health and creation and every other worker who works at the paddock"I said realizing that she perked up when Owens name came up"and no Owen is not going to tell you either because we made a deal not to share the information"I scolded her "fine I get it I'm going to leave I'm need to get stuff done at home OK see you later bye"Mariah said goodbye 

Then left,oh what a exhausting explanation but it had to be done so she can't find out. I walked to my bed then fell asleep.

Mariah's pov 

I just walked out of Athena's house, she is hiding something and it's about that classified information which she can't tell me because of Claire I was going to ask Owen since she said that he knows to but got turned down because Owen can't tell either,

Uh I even reminded her about our promise we made about how we never hide secrets from each other and to never lie but I know she is lying to me and hiding something from me and I don't like it one bit.

Athena I will find out what your hiding from me and if I do it won't be pretty.
