The gangly boy stiffened, his eyes downcast. He refused to meet the other children's gazes as they approached him; instead, he focused on the desk before him.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀"You came?" Hesitantly, Yoonbum lifted his head and looked up at the curly haired boy looming over him with a sneer.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀"Y-Yes?" He managed to stutter out weakly, his gaze falling down to stare at his clasped hands, resting in his lap.
"That's unfortunate."
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀"H-Huh?" Yoonbum's head shot up in surprise at the boy's words. "Why?"
He gulped, and his eyes widened to practically the size of dinner plates when he saw the devious smirk on his classmate's face.
"It would've been better if you hadn't."

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀"Yeah," the boy breathed out, stuffing his hands in his pockets as he took a step back and closed his eyes. "I suppose we can't have everything we wish for, huh?"
He cracked open one eye and grinned.
