Chapter 2

During the whole ride Mr. old guy told me about things I should know about S.A. I was lucky I didn't fall asleep, because if I did he might have thrown me out of the car.

"Steadyway Academy is the most prestigious school in the America to date, rivaled only by Bellcraft's School for Boys and Girls. Steadyway and Bellcraft have been rivals for seventeen years, since Bellcraft was founded. We house 986-now eighty seven students. As I said before it is a very prestigious school, and most do not make the cut. Students must pay a yearly fee to continue to learn from Steadyway, save the students who get in with athletic or academic scholarships." Translation: you have to be rich, a genius, or the next Michael Phelps to get in.

"You will have to alarm the Student council president, if you will make any minor or major changes in the school, so they may schedule a date to inform the student body. There are in fact rules at this school; we have a strict dress code, and have a strong disciplinary..." blah, blah, blah...

I missed Bitsie. She was a lot more fun than this old prune.

"Miss Ross?"

"Hmm?"

He sighed. "You'll be rooming in the Crystal Tree Dorm, as all of the others are full. Your room number is 676, good day." He seemed happy that I was out of his hair for the moment.

Well that wasn't fair! The crusty old sourpuss left me all alone, and I didn't even know where the dorm room was! Grrr....

I pouted a bit, but then sighed and decided to just look for it. When I saw a girl sitting down painting her nails lime green -which looked really good on her-I sighed with relief.

"Um excuse me?" she looked up and smiled. "Yes?"

"could you help me find the Crystal tree dorm?" she nodded, the blew on her nails.

"I'm Veronica DePaul, nice to meet you."

"I'm Pumpkin." Well that sounded...odd. Her with her cool de pool name and me with my pie. Mmmm...Pie. I'd like to take a bite of cherry pie, or better yet banana cream pie...

"Pumpkin?"

"Yes, please." I answered but then giggled "sorry I was thinking about pie, what was it that you said?"

She laughed. "I was asking if it was your first day here."

"Yup, I'm in my second year." She looked at me.

"What? I can't be small and old at the same time?" she smiled, and then I realized she was really pretty. She was tan-booooo...---with cherry red hair that was up in pony tail with a few lovely curls escaping, from it. She also had shining hazel eyes, and a tall curvy figure. The world must hate me.

"Your beautiful." She blushed.

"Thank you, your beautiful too." I think I would come to like her.

"Are you in the Crystal Tree Dorm?" I asked, she brushed off the dirt from her navy blue uniform skirt. The uniform here was really cute, the skirt was short and blue, and it came with dark knee high stockings, she wore her collared shirt without her jacket though, but it was nice. I could live with it.

"Yes, there are four dorms, one of them is the White Peach dorm, where theirs one small room for two students-this is an all girls only dorm. The second is the Ever Clear dorm; it's the same as W.P only it's an all boys. The third is our dorm, it's a large loft with two bedrooms, a living room and a small kitchen, it's shared between three or four students, it's all girls, the fourth is the Knight dorm it's the same as our but it's an all boy's dorm as well." cool.
