Feelings

Suppress me all you want,

But I'll always be present.

I'll linger in your heart,

And make your emotions unpleasant.

I'll cloud your dreams

Until you believe it's reality.

I'll make you scream, "It seems you'll never leave me!"

But there is a way

To escape my tight grasp.

Confess what I say

Instead of holding me in a clasp.

Then I'll fly away free,

And you'll feel peace.

You'll never forget me,

But I won't destroy you at least.
