Chapter 13

We traveled all the way to Washington. that’s where Jack said most of them were. He parked in some woods near by the secret building.

“See you later… just in case” He was so fast. He crushed his lips to mine and left.

“Gross” I muttered. Wiping my lips with my arm.

Then when I knew he was far enough. I pressed random buttons that Jack had pressed. To see if the door would open. 

Finally it did. I leaped out and ran in Jack’s direction. 

The building was huge, and painted green to stay hidden. I ran to a slightly cracked door and went slowly in. it was a hallway. Metal walls and concrete floors. All I was armed with was a thick stick I found outside. 

Maybe I’ll make them laugh to death?

I headed toward some big doors to see if they will be there.

When I entered the room. I was shocked. It was a huge white room with metal coffin like containers all around the room. They had glass windows on the top that I didn’t look in yet. But what surprised me was seeing Jack run around looking in each window.

Then he saw my movement.

“What the heck?!” He. Was. Angry.

“You didn’t expect me to stay. Did you?” I asked. Heading toward him.

“Yes. I did. You could be in danger!” He whispered loudly.

I didn’t listen. I just looked in one of the windows. Then I jumped.

“Oh my gosh” I gasped.

There were actual bodies in there. Twiads my guess.

“Are they…” I began.

“Their alive. They are being research” He was disgusted.

“Have you found Zack?” I asked. Looking around.

“I just started looking when you came in”

I looked in each window. There were over a hundred different boxes. 

“I found him!” I gasped. Opening the box slowly.

He laid there. Looking to be in a peaceful sleep.

All he wore were some shorts. He had tubes in his arm. And he was in water to his ears. 

I unplugged the tubes as Jack watched over my shoulder.

“Zack? Come on Zack. Wake up” I shook him lightly.

He didn’t move.

“They have him pretty drugged” Jack commented.
