Before I can kneel at the foot of the cross
I must hear the story
Before I can understand your death
I must die to myself
Before I can be truly clean
I must be washed in your blood
Before I can receive your gift of salvation
I must admit that I need it
Before I can taste the freedom you offer
I must surrender to you
Before I can see you
I must open my eyes
Before I can hear you
I must listen
Before I can feel your touch
I must extend my hand
Before I can become who I am meant to be
I must let go of who I was
Before I can represent you
I must be filled by you
Before I can experience your love
There is nothing I must do
