The world can be a strange and dark place where
there are more lies than truth
more pain than comfort
more questions than answers
more hatred than kindness
more suspicion than trust
more tears than smiles
more uncertainty than peace
Then a single event occurred
A solitary sacrifice happened
Innocent blood was spilled
that changed the nature of the world
Now the world can be a place where
there is more love than can be given
more faith than doubt
more service than selfishness
more hope than despair
when you reach out to touch the infinite
the world becomes a bright and beautiful place
where there is always enough
