Third person POV

Deedee was smiling to herself as she shoved more items into the bag she was holding. She couldn't wait for the events that would unfold later.

You know you are such a schemer right? Seeing as you are grinning from ear to ear makes me pity those two poor souls. Kabeer said as he observed his wife.

It was finally time to leave the hospital as both Abba and Kabeer are getting better by the second. They have been complaining about wanting getting discharged. The doctor finally agreed to discharge them since all was left of their recovery was bed rest.

Deedee stopped ummee and Mamy from informing anyone at home about their return. She wanted it to be a surprise. Deep down it was all part of her plan. She knows if they were to be informed then they will definitely meet at the airport. So she doesn't want the big reveal to happen just yet.

Mamy came into the room and big smile plastered on her face. She fixed her gaze on Kabeer and smile wider. She walked up to him and patted his head.

Mamy ina kwana ( good morning ). He said smiling back at her. After all she is like a mother to him. She practically brought him up since he lost both parents at a young age.

Good morning my boy. How are you feeling today? She replied.

Almost never better mamy. I can't wait to be home. How about Abba? How is he?

Since it's been a week they switched from the general ER room to individual rooms. They don't see each other all the time. Although Kabeer visited Abba's room when he can, Abba couldn't because he still can't walk on his own.

Abba is doing much better Alhamdulillah. I can't wait to see the kids too. I miss them soo much.

Deedee that was packing their clothes pouted before clearing her throat loudly. Both Mamy and Kabeer turned thier heads to her direction.

Yes? Can I help you? Mamy asked her calmly.

Mamyyyyyyy..... people will think I'm the inlaw here when they witness this. You didn't even notice me but you were busy smiling at him like he's some golden boy! She whined stomping a little.

Both Mamy and Kabeer burst out laughing. This made Deedee more upset. She deepened her pout and glared at Kabeer.

Ok... since I'm a laughing stock I'll excuse you and go to where I'll be given all the attention I need. Lemme go to my ummee. She said in a sing song voice walking out of the room.

She still heard thier laughter as she closed the door and made for the room opposite thiers. That's where Abba's room was.

Assalamu alaikum... she salamed then knocked gently. She heard a reply from inside so she turned the door knob and entered.

Khadee? You've finished packing already? Ummee asked as Deedee sauntered in.

She was just getting everything ready and was about to start putting them into the bag. Abba was sitting on the bed trying to exercise his legs as the doctor advised.

Deedee pouted and sat beside Abba before answering.

Ummee I haven't finished yet. Lemme come help you though. Abba you should lift your leg higher than that. She reached out and lifted his leg a little higher than he was doing.
