Rum

Some things you wish you hadn't done,
Like drink those beers and shots of rum.
But when you did them anyway,
Some things you wish you didn't say.

But then you went and said them still,
The fool you are, you always will.
It ruined a concert you went to
With your drunk sister and her beau.

You never liked him all that much
So you said this, and harsher stuff.
And when that doesn't go so great
You head-butt her in stupid rage.

And when she rightly got upset
You took right off, and off you went.
Of all the fights you ever had
That was the worst, was worse than bad.

But when you think about it now
You cannot help but laugh at how
You ruined a night with a head-butt,
and that's just funny, that's clear-cut.

Hilarious as that still is
There lies a rift that's hard to fix
So still you wish you hadn't done
Quite so many shots of rum.
